A truly memorable performance to beat Jose and his collection of mercenaries, c...s and scumbags. Harry Kane deserves a special mention as his goal brought us back to life and as they say the rest is history.

Lloris 8- 1 world class save.

Walker 6- Good going forward.. Shaky defensively.

Vertonghen 7- Besides Costas tap in, was well marshalled.

Fazio 7- Gave away Chelskis 2nd goal. Otherwise good.

Rose 7- Hazzard torched him, scored from a rebound off post.

Townsend 6- No end Product.

Bentaleb 7- Did well. Kept tempo high.

Mason inc- injury

Eriksen 8- Linked well with Kane.

Chadli 9- Good finish. Set up a penalty.

Kane 10- 2 very well taken goals. Ran his socks off. Won a penalty.

subs
Dembele 7- He kept it simple for once.

Davies 7- Rather him than Rose.

Paulinho 5
"Paulinho 5". Why do some people refuse to recognise that a player had a good game?

Kane 10 - outstanding.

Chadli 9 - excellent game and pipped to MoM by Kane's superb performance.

Bentaleb 8 - shaky start with some dodgy passing but grew into the game and held his own against Matic and Fabregas.

Eriksen 8 - involved in most of our attacks, plenty of closing down and looked very dangerous in his free role. Only negative was his poor corners.

Lloris 8 - produced an excellent save from Azpilicueta, let's call him Dave, easier to spell. Looked solid and couldn't do anything about the Chelsea goals.

Dembele 7 - good in possession, and I actually saw him running around, even late in the game. Needs to work on his tackling though.

Vertonghen 7 - the best of our defenders by a long shot. Kept going all the way to the end and made some key interceptions.

Davies 7 - a breath of fresh air, a lot more solid than Rose and other than fitness, I'm still bemused as to why he didn't start.

Paulinho 6 - showed lots of energy and looked interested, a decent performance.

Townsend 5 - took his penalty well but my only other recollection of Andros was him show boating at 4-2, setting up a Chelsea counter attack. My prayers were soon answered as he was subbed seconds later.

Walker, Fazio, Rose 4 - for as good as our attackers were, this lot were horrendous at the back. Sloppy in possession, switching off and not playing to the whistle, being out of position and in Rose's case, getting arse raped by Hazard. Thank God we scored 5 as the high line produced a comedy of errors.

Mason n/a - hope he's ok.

Poch 8 - Positives: counter attacking tactics, allowing Eriksen to have a free role, actively encouraging the team through out the game, very good subs. Negatives: Starting out of sorts Rose instead of in form Davies, playing out of form Townsend whom once again offered very little other than a well taken penalty. Persisting with the high line despite Hazard and co tormenting our defence all game, and allowing the full backs to keep attacking, leaving Fazio and Verts exposed to a Chelsea counter attack.
Every player gets arse raped by Hazard. He destroys almost every defender he plays against. In this instance, I certainly believe it was a case of Hazard being exceptional, rather than Rose or Walker being very poor. Saying that, I still think we gave him too much space but when he's directly against one player, Hazard usually wins.

Huge praise for the courage and quality for his penalty kick, but does anyone else feel that Townsend was below par again and isn't taking the chance to stake a claim for that starting spot long term?

I just found him quite underwhelming personally.

So many fighting performances Rose, Bentaleleb, Eriksen but to me Chadli & Dembele stood out.. they seem to eventually have put an element of physicality into there game.. I still believe a player like Dembele you have to find a position in the team that suits him.. for me it's LW

How is anyone here saying Chadli had a great game?? He was alright and did some OK things but a majority of the time he slowed play down and lost the ball on numerous occasions when an easy pass was on. Not slating him, I am very happy about todays win but he's played better.

Kane was unbelievable and Vertonghen did very well. Eriksen with some fantastic little touches, guy really is a genius.
One goal and three assists in a spurs win............against Chelsea. Not good enough?

Kane an obvious man of the match, but I feel like Chadli deserves a nod too. They both played out of their minds today and gave Chelsea's vaunted defense more than they could handle.

This. He has been good in recent matches and was very good today. Had a hand in Chadli goal, good energy, worked hard and always used the ball well. Some people have just decided that he's rubbish and it won't matter how well he plays.

Just to clarify, I didn't say he was shit. He played fine but he's had better games in my opinion. Thats all but if you disagree thats fine. Im glad we all think differently otherwise life would be shit.
Not everything needs to be relative. When i drink coffee i drink it out of a cup, whether or not you agree the cup exists is immaterial. You cant have watched the same game if you think Chadli underperformed.

Watching again that first Chelscum goal should have been puled back for offside. Costa played at Hazard's shot.

Hazard's an excellent player but it was school boy stuff from Rose for the 1st goal.

Offensively we were outstanding but the amount of individual mistakes at the back was ridiculous.

Edit:

For those of you who were blind to the mistakes in the game... you know, the ones that cost us 3 goals and had the commentators, pundits, and droves of posts on social media slamming our defence, here's a reminder.

1st goal - Rose, half sleep, not paying attention and switched off, soon to be followed by Hazard making him look a mug as he strolled passed him unchallenged.

2nd goal - Fazio, crawls into midfield with the ball and gets robbed.

3rd goal - Defence switches off, Chelsea take a quick free kick and score.

There were other incidents, for example when Ramires was through on goal with not a defender in sight. Then there was the ball to Azpilicueta, where was Walker? ball watching... Lloris to the rescue. Add the glorious high line which was exploited time and time again, Fazio was half a yard from being sent off.

For the first goal, Yes. But my point is that I find it difficult to put too much blame on players who get skinned by Hazard because he's so good.

I thought Fazio played well except for the goal and Vertonghen was very good as well. I didn't think dembele was particularly good and bentaleb wasn't a whole load better but fair play to Kane and Chadli, two outstanding performances and it is no mean feat to put 5 past one of the best teams in England.
