I thought he did ok. Nothing outstanding just had a game that ticked along. Definitely wasn't rubbish

Yes i cant say much but he is well known in the club for all the right reasons! Two footed, smart footballer who can pick the right pass and rides a tackle well, also can finnish!
He is from london and is a spurs fan i was told! He was picked up and was playing above his age! Clubs did try and take him but all partys concerned wanted to stay. The club were very happy :)

I think, like Onomah he could work on his finishing, and I don't really see him use much of his right foot but when you have a left like his you don't need to.

Great news about him being a Spurs fan and I assume his family must have had a say. Either that's down to the fact they can see we are producing and developing at the moment better than our competitor's or that their fans. Regardless they have made a great decision (y)

i read elsewhere that he(edwards) supports/supported arsenal ... not that i think it means anything in the grand scheme of things.

From Windy on Twitter... "Believe Veljkovic's loan is due to end roughly when Bentaleb leaves for ACON. Might get a game at DM."

Rather give Milos out there than taking some kid on loan who doesnt know english football and whom we havent even an option to buy.

Is someone being sold/loaned to make room for him? Kaboul/Chiriches/Paulinho?
Bentaleb is going ACN

Chiriches been linked with Roma

Paulinho been linked with Inter

Capoue not been seen since supposed bust up bar one sub appearance

Kaboul out of favour, could cover his role in the past weeks

Couple comments I managed to find on Boro forum about his performance yesterday

Sounded like Veljkovic done okay, was mentioned a couple of times breaking up play and winning headers. Could he start at Reading next week or does his loan deal expire?

Veljkovic - 7. Thought he did well today, played a bit more like he did in his cameo at Millwall - pinged a few passes and seemed to get into a bit of a rhythm with Clayton.

I went to Blackburn and he wasn't great, although far from "rubbish".

He added nothing offensively though, and from what I saw is a long way from our central midfield.

The best way I could describe his performance was he looked like a composed centre back playing central midfield.

I watched him for the u21s a few times and for me centre back is his best position.

EDIT: I know he came on in the opening minutes for Boro on Saturday, but I haven't had any reports yet on how he played.

Watched that game too it was sub par for him but he didn't do anything wrong. Would not judge him on that game alone, have defintely seen him play better myself and that was probably his 'worse' game for Boro.

I think he is very capable at both positions and he always impressed me wherever he is played. Could play anywhere for us and he isn't a starter for us now, but would happily see him given a chance in our first team.

recall him now. kalas goes straight into the lineup whilst milos is still on the bench.

a bit of perspective here, please. kalas is 2 years older, has actually played for his parent club (twice, but still, one in the champions league and once in the premier league) and has more than 75 appearances in the dutch league AND has a senior cap for his country.

i'm a great supporter of spurs youth, but veljkovic doesn't have the pedigree kalas has and you can't blame boro for putting kalas ahead of him.

add to that milos has been played as a centre midfielder, while kalas is a center half/right back, and was played at rb in this game.

loans are about more than just playing football, and while a bit of a blow, doesn't mean we should pull him from his loan, unless he is wanted/required by poch.
