I believe most of us followed this by a combination of text and radio. I can bring you the ratings and paraphrases of comments from Collomosse in London Evening Standard if that is of any interest:

Vorm: 6. Little to do. Goal not his fault.
Vlad: 6. Eccentric display with strange decisions.
Fazio: 7. Increasingly dominant, but made an error before the goal.
Jan: 7. Improving with Fazio, but error prone.
Davies: 8. Best player of the night, growing in confidence.
Dembele: 7. Mobile and used the ball well.
Stambouli: 6. Taken off due to an early yellow card.
Chadli: 7. Attacking outlet & enduring effectiveness.
Paulinho: 4. Gave the ball away.
Eriksen: 6. Hard working in 3 different roles.
Soldado: 5. No service, made nothing happen.
Townsend: 6. Struggled.
Kane: 5. Some wrong choices/wasting chances.

Sounds like a typical match day for some of the players.

Vlad - capable of the unexpected but can't do the simple things.
Fazio and Jan - good partnership but prone to individual errors.
Paulinho - too busy chasing his own shadow.
Soldado - anonymous.
Townsend - as per Paulinho, but in his case chasing his own tail lol

I am however glad to see Davies, Dembele and Chadli are continuing to improve week in week out.

What did you listen to it on? I listened to the first half on bbc 94.9 (fm) and the commentary was, as usual, pretty good and informative.
I made the mistake of listening to the second half on R5SX (digital) and they might as well have broadcast static.

Listened to it on Radio London via Spurs match centre after several attempts.
Usual nonsense. They should let Bradley do it on his own
and leave him to describe what's happening
then you wouldn't get the irritating chit chat about
the weather, the last time they came to wherever they are,
the quality of the pies and so on.

R5SX broadcasting static. We were a little more mobile than that surely.

I meant the commentary on R5SX was so poor they should have broadcast static lol.

Admittedly, I didn't watch the match, read any reports or even visit the match thread but nonetheless i'd wager the ratings above will be spookily accurate .

I was there and you are spot on. Stambouli and Dembele were also so unimaginative it was pathetic. The back passing was amazingly creative though.

I said on here it would not be easy to win up there ( 3 wins in the last 12 visits) and so it proved. Burnley where fired up and a draw was a fair result in the end, it was cold and the Burnley fans were crap but the half time pies were great.

I am gobsmacked to hear that there are fans who wished we had lost rather then get the replay ( sad state of affairs when supporters can say things like that), we got back at 5am this morning and we are all looking forward to the replay. I do not usally do the marking players bit but seeing as most did not see the game ( but I have noticed that there are several who are slatting their scapegoats as usual, even though they did no see them ) I will do so.

Vorm 6
Vlad 6
Fazio 7
Jan 7
Davies 8
Stam 6
Dembele 6
Chadli 7
Paul 6
Erik 6
Soldado 5
Townsend 5
Kane 5

I never do these, but I guess with it not being broadcast it might be helpful.

Vorm - 6: Didnt have to do much, was quick off his line on a couple of occasions but as the game went on he seemed to catch the poor distribution bug.

Chiriches - 3: Had another one of those games really. I can forgive a wayward pass here and there but he lost the flight of the ball a few times completely unchallenged, on one occasion he seemed to hook the ball blind over his head towards Vorm from just inside our half on the right, a complete brain fart. Appalling passing and seemed to affect the confidence of Jan in particular.

Vertonghen - 6: Jan looked a bit flustered at times but I think he just didn't trust some people as an out ball.

Fazio - 7: I've been a critic of his but he was good last night, mopped up most things, apparently he was at fault for the goal but I couldn't really make it out because it was at the opposite end. I liked the fact that he was pressing high up the pitch, gave away a few free kicks for stealing the ball by seemingly going through a player from behind, but I don't mind that, he's starting to mix it a bit more instead of waiting for runners to turn.

Davies - 7: Played well, passing got more loose later in the game but he was constantly getting into good positions to cross the ball. Squared a lovely cross to Kane in the box on 91 mins who was completely unmarked and fluffed it, otherwise we'd be talking about another great late assist for him.

Paulinho - 4: Set the tone early with some horrendous, lazy passing. Looked flustered on the ball, didn't do anything particularly good defensively or in attack, poor passing killed a few of our chances to break.

Dembele - 5: Again, poor passing let us down a lot. He showed for the ball a lot, but couldn't get his rhythm going. Being partnered with Stambouli in the first half meant the onus was on him to drive us forward, but too often he overplayed it. Classic Dembele sometimes where he would ghost past two people and then play a naff ball or turn back on himself.

Stambouli - 4: This guy needs to do something and quick. Constantly made poor choices, didn't look like he had any command of midfield. Looked out of his depth if I'm honest. Got a stupid, needless booking for holding back a player in their own half and paid the price with Poch.

Eriksen - 6: One of the few that really tried. Looked like he was running in treacle at times, you could tell he was tired. Some uncharacteristically poor passing, but nobody seemed on the same wavelength bar Chadli and Davies to be fair to him,

Chadli - 8: Best player on the pitch IMO. Not just because he scored our goal, but because he was constantly direct, used Davies well and put Burnley under a bit of pressure, where the rest let them off the hook.

Soldado - 3: Didn't get involved at all. A few half hearted flick ons here and there but wasn't showing for the ball at all. He was effectively waiting for something to happen instead of putting in a shift.

Kane- 6: for 15 minutes after he came on he changed us completely. Classic Kane, dropping deep for the ball, going out to the wing to pick it up, head up, looking for others, testing the keeper and was involved in the goal with a lovely weighted pass. Missed a sitter at the end though.

Townsend - 5: Tried to get involved and drive us forward, but wasn't effective.

@Kendall I think you have been quite generous, to be honest. I was thinking about this earlier - I genuinely did not see even one remotely useful thing that Paulinho did all game. I mean, he must have made around 10 passes, not one of them more than 3 yards. I don't remember him making one tackle and, if it were possible, I would swear that he gave the ball away more times than he touched it. I would give him a zero - he was THAT bad

I like Bobby, but he was terrible yesterday. He, literally, could not have broken a sweat. I was watching his movement quite closely; the times that he did make an effort to get into the box, he actually ran towards the defenders - I have never seen anything like it. He just wasn't interested. I would give him a one (not like that) - he flicked the ball over a defenders head on the half way line that made me applaud.

Dembele wasn't as bad as the two above. You could see that he was trying. However, his touch and passing were woeful. I'd give a 4.

I'd give the rest of the team (save for Kane) a 5 which I regard as being below average because, to a man, they were. Even Vorm seemed to have a couple of brain farts, despite having nothing to do.

Kane brought enthusiasm to the team when he came on, although even that seemed to wane after 10 minutes. His performance was probably the minimum I would expect of a Tottenham player, as such I would give him a 6.5.

Without actually witnessing the game, you simply cannot appreciate how bad it was. The radio commentators probably stopped commentating on the game in the first half because there was, genuinely, nothing going on. I am confident I will never see a worse game for as long as I watch professional football.

Edit - Actually I forgot Fazio. I thought he did very well and didn't put a foot wrong. My MOTM with an eight

Edit 2 - Actually Eriksen seemed to put himself about a bit and get on the ball. I swear on one occasion he saw Pauliniho was free but turned inside because he didn't want to pass to him. For that alone 6.5

If we had a few more changes and freshened it up with some youth we probably would of seen a better performance.

No shots on or off target from both sides in the first half says it all.

Hindsight is a great thing, but there is no way of knowing and there is no probably about it.

Well it wasn't hindsight from my perspective as I said as much in the team for Burnley thread. Said repeatedly that making plenty of changes would give us a fresh impetus - and that surely would of resulted in a better performance.

And it may have lead to us losing and getting knocked out.

If we could play the game again I'd make the changes, like I suggested before the game, put it like that.

Your strongest line up can vary, particularly during a very busy period when fatigue becomes more of a factor.
