Lets be real guys, the Josif's have played this perfectly. Keep delaying the stadium plans. They get money from the CPO AND the insurance settlement for their fire. They're probably going to look for a nice house in Lake Nona soon enough and hit the greens with Joe, Tiger and them with the money they're going to get.

The josif family retirement brought to you by Haringey Council and Lloyds of London.

Do you ever get tired of commenting on things you know nothing about?

Is there any evidence that we have changed the plans or have the Jossifs been reading rumours on the internet and are using them as an argument against the CPO? We may well change the plans but that cannot be used in court to overturn the CPO.

I don't think it matters as the council will just agree the land is needed for the wider development of the area. Nevertheless I hope the club haven't dropped a bollock on this one.

Does this mean our updated stadium plans will now all be in the public domain by mid Feb?

Hearing this I do have some sympathy for the club and why it's had to keep so tight-lipped about the development so far. Hopefully a successful High Court ruling should result in a glut of info and this thread hitting a thousand pages quick-sharp.

Doesn't look like it.

Probably. An intentional one at that. As I said on many occassions, ENIC`s record at there previous clubs show they like to talk a lot about building or developing stadiums, but always finish up ducking out before it happens leaving their pockets just that little bit heavier than they were before.

They also have a record of winning leagues with their teams. So are we expecting a title challenge under them? Or is each situation unique?

That was a short year in exile CK! I'm sure you said a whole 12 months and not 12 days.:coffee:

Sorry, I just couldn`t help myself. It`s just so frustrating, and funny at the same time, to see so many of you still convinced ENIC are going to oversee a new stadium. The delay was seemingly caused by the club. Not Archways, not Haringey, ...the club. The longer this thing drags out, the more wriggle room our studious owners create for themselves.

How could it be caused by the club? It was a request under freedom of information act that came in on Tuesday not giving either side enough time to go through. Archway made the request possibly as a delaying tactic. Nothing to do with us. Neither set of lawyers works for Spurs.

Archway's argument all along (and please correct me if I have misundersood) is that the regeneration plan proposed by Tottenham, ratified by the local authority, is not the only way/most efficient way of regenerating the area and that Spurs can achieve what we want to achieve for far less land acquisition (in particular the land on which the Archway Metal factory just about sits) by building further towards Northumberland Park station?

As others have said, how does changing (/increasing) what we want to do fit in to this particular argument?

Or is the argument now that the CPO was issued based on inaccurate information or information that was subject to change?

Because, with all planning applicaitons, you can get away with some changes albeit non-material ones? NMAs, right? I'm far too junior and not had enough exposure to the planning side of things from the Developers that I act for, but I would have assumed that the principle of making a non-material alteration would apply given the limited amount of factual information we have here?

Gah. This is all a bit annoying.

Oh, I see then. The statement from Archway requesting spurs to modify the official club statement is all bullshit and bollocks. I should have known. Can`t be anything to with us after all. How stupid of me. (hangs head in shame)

I've got a problem with how they edited the FootGolf video with Benji Stambouli, but you don't see me putting official notices up on my website.

Spurs can put what the FUCK they like up on their website (within a level of reason) and why the hell should they bend to Archway's need when it is very clear that they have not played any sort of ball with us. Ridiculous angle you are coming from.

I suppose they can, and they have. And you choose to believe every fucking word of it.. There`s another thread called "NEW STADIUM OPENING COUNTDOWN).. The general consensus at the start of that thread was August 2015 for the grand opening. you probably believed that too. This particular thread was started in 2008 (yes, its true !) yet we still dont know the plans for the stadium, we still dont know the capacity, we know nothing about potential funding.........but as you rightly say, Spurs (or more correctly, ENIC) can put what the fuck they like up on their website

The website isn't a legal document, it makes no difference at all to a judge what they put there. This request is just PR because, unfortunately neither Spurs or the council supplied the court ordered documents on time. These relate to private, commercially confidential, discussions and should have been handed over in good time. They weren't, but have been, so now we wait until feb. There's not much more story here that I can see. In this instance, we have caused a procedural delay instead of the 5 year delay going through CPO which has been granted. The substance of the CPO has been settled, the appeal is that spurs or the council have abused the process. If the documents reveal secret discussions then nothing can happen anyway, the approved design got the CPO not some secret underhand evil master plan to destroy North London with a Death Star development. If we want to build a different stadium we will have to resubmit to the planning department. Nobody in their right mind would build a giant stadium over several years without planning permission. That is actually mental.

So many things in life are unknowable. I wouldn't worry about it. I wouldn't get angry about it. Have a break. have a kitkat.

Well, Daniel Levy and Joe Lewis (and their respective family trusts) can put up what they like - if we're getting proper structurey.
