Pretty sure Enfield Council make a decision whether or not to grant planning permission this evening.

I hate nimby's. Come and live in Camden, the place has been a building site for the last 10 years and will be for another 20. It has to be done. The population of London will be well over 10 million in the next 15 years, where do you think they will all live? Kiss your greenbelt goodbye or vote to come out of the EU. You can't have it both ways.

The Yanks trained there last week so obviously it is on the map internationally for a training venue in which case an accomodation block is pretty obviously a great asset.
Simple as!

The San Francisco 49'ers trained at our ground too last summer. My brother drives some high up NFL dudes and got to hang out at the training ground for 3 days I think it was. he didn't care he's a Chelsea fan :/

Surely an ecology report, plus any relevant comments from Natural England, The Enfield Society and others would have been part of the planning process considered by Enfield Council prior to giving the green light to the project?

All the bats and newt stuff was in the Ecological Appraisal It was commissioned as part of the original application by the club.

There is a proposed plan of action detailing exactly what the club will do to make sure there is minimal impact to the affected species and it goes into quite a lot of detail, creating a new pond for the Newts and adding roosting for the bats in the roof voids of the new buildings, including some bat boxes. It looks to me that we expected these issues and taken appropriate measures.

So a case of the Mirror printing outdated stories that have already been dealt with and are not an issue? Well I never.
