I would honestly be SHOCKED if Stuggart agree to this.
It's not the craziest transfer story I've ever heard... Werner is an intermittent starter for Stuttgart, who are in a serious relegation battle - they risk losing him for cheap if they go down, so might prefer to cash in now, strengthen the team in several places and try to avoid relegation. BUT if he really were available, there would be loads of interested teams, and it would have made far more sense to let him go at the beginning of the window when they had time to bring in reinforcements. Sadly I think it's probably a non-starter, but frankly if they'll take Kaboul I will be happy enough.
http://www.squawka.com/news/ridiculous-rumour-arsenal-set-to-bid-for-hugo-lloris/287138That must be, a few years back, when Messi was linked to Spurs! So it will take quite a story to beat "craziest transfer story"
No chance of a straight swap. Maybe Holtby could be included... say Holtby and Kaboul for Werner? Would that be enough??
Stuttgart need some grit and determination and Holtby going there would strengthen them and also weaken a rival. Would save us some cash too - two big earners off the books and a young star in on less wages. They're a good team to have solid links with too, very good youth system

I didn't know he played one...Believe Holtby to Hamburg is done, and even so I don't think Stuttgart would be interested considering Holtby currently has a shattered clavicle that will rule him out for the next three months.
