He was commentating on a game at the weekend, can't remember which one but the cameras panned on him and said something like "good to see him back at work".

Problem is he was working with that arse Jon Champion (the same Jon Champion who announced live to the English speaking world that Fabrice Muamba had died whilst the poor fucker was still being worked on in the corridors of WHL)

Where do you get that from?

He did as i watched it live on ESPN, he was standing next to Waddle when he said it as a piece to camera from their commentary perch before ESPN went off air from WHL.
But if this were true, the media would have absolutely blasted him for it. I was actually in England at the time watching the game on ESPN and I think I would've remembered being told that I just watched a footballer die. There would be a story somewhere out there on the big world wide web. You sure you didn't dream this?

Don't forget everyone was gripped about Fabrices' recovery at the time not the4 commentary, but he did definitely say "It appears Fabrice Muamba has died" (In that tone of voice that makes it sound official)

TBH it doesn't matter as thankfully he fully recovered but i remember getting the right arse with Champion (who i admit i've never been a fan of) because Fab's family/friends could've been watching and they've just incorrectly heard he's died from some berk who should've bit his tongue.
