Dominic Ball has started at right back in a straight swap with Richard Tait, while Elliott and Slew are partnering each other up front.

Edit: not his first start as corrected in his thread.

Good to hear. I did learn that he had had a loan at Ipswich and did well there. I guess we could loan him to a promoted PL side next season if we needed to, but you are right in that he would be settled here and would do fine.
We would most definitely need to move Paulinho and Capoue on if we bring back Pritchard, bring in Alli, and potentially add Luongo.

Did excellently at Championship Ipswich - until a change of manager who wanted more experienced players in. Ipswich fans said at end of that season that Luongo had been more effective than the experienced players brought in.

IMO Alli will be played in Spurs first team next season providing he does ok in pre-season - if we've paid £5m for him we will involve him early in the first team.

Whoever we bring in we will need to shift Capoue and Paulhino, and then its a question of whether we think we need someone Lmore experienced or if Luongo (who with international experience is as experienced as the likes of BNentaleb, other than PL experience) is considered experienced enough. IMO Luongpo was only moved on to give him game time as Spurs knew Bentalenb was coming through. But we never expected new sigining like Capoue and Paulhino would bomb so badly - so personally think Luongo back is not a bad option.

If Luongo doesn't come back to Spurs - expect to see him in the PL within the next 2 years !

I believe we played Walkes at LB due to the fact he is strong and one of our most experienced players and they wanted that for this game. He has played LB quite a few times mainly last year. However the other option would have been to play Muscatt who has been playing LB more regularly for us. He likes go get forward and makes overlapping and underlappinhn runs with Azzaoui and they have built up a decent understanding. However as he isn't as good as KWP I think they may have thought he'd be the weak link. Though I do like Muscatt. I'm not sure if you know as you mentioned him, but Ogilvie is too old for this.

I think this is for various reasons. Firstly the coached really rate Walked I believe and last year with our midfield as good as it was there was no where for him to play. They probably looked at his side and that he was decent on the ball and started working him in at LB rotating with Ogilvie.

Secondly this season now with CCV either playing for u21s or USA we have missed one of our best CBs. we have about 3 DMs or players that sit excluding Walkes and at the time only had one CB who could play (JT) howver he was still developing in u16s. Therefore CB was the best and only place for him to fit him. The need for his size and experience was more urgently needed as then Maghoma got injured and we were playing 3 natural DMs (including him) across the back four or drafting Tanganga in.

Though I have criticised him quite a bit I do actually think he is decent on the ball and accept he is a developing CB however my main issue of him is he has too many Kaboul moments. He always seems like he thinks he is better than he I'd probably as he is decent on the ball and can be a decent pass so makes so many lazy passes and regularly gets us caught out as a result. Combined with his learning of a new position he can get exposed quite a bit and it can be frustrating to watch Howver he has put in some decent performances recently and his ability on the ball, tenacity plus physique (size and speed) make him a decent and potentially good CB. However as you have noticed with CCV and Maghoma there I doubt he will make it for us there especially as he is older than them.

Will he make it in DM like you suggest I doubt it again. He could potentially make a good one but he hasn't played there in ages, and you like Stylianides, Amos had been playing well and I really like Owens. He also wouldn't get moved there as we would be a CB short again and none of those would be as able as him. I believe he is 18 and Veljkovic is 19 and MV should be playing now and Walked is nowhere near so I think he'd struggle to find a route into the first team that way but we will see

I like Walkes. He reminds me a bit of Michael Mancienne the kid who came through Chelsea's academy a few years back who also ended up being put into CB position I think. He does make mistakes, but they seem to born out of over confidence almost, as he seems very comfortable on the ball. Shame, because he has many good qualities.

Really like this Kazaiah kid, I know it's early, but I think he's our next best bet at developing a striker for the first team. Has a really good athletic package to go along with some other skills to look really good at a young age. There's more things he can add to his game, but I believe in him.

I think guys like Loft, Harrison, Akindayini are decent, but I'm not sure I see them developing a future with the first team.

Funny how start of the season loft and Harrison were playing well and they were the next big thing, now they are written off. There young they will peak and dip in form. Harrison and loft are good players I am sure far worse have made it :) Akindayini might not have a great all round game but he can finish and that is a valuable skill only time will tell. They are at an age were a lot of influence can distract them I would not write anyone off just yet look at Mason 23 yrs old.

Harrison has shown me for a while that he can play and I would like to see how he does if he fills out a little bit more. Even though Akindayini is only 18 I have never really seen anything of his play that stood out. Loft has looked good at different points. Think they all need time just like you say. Sterling's breakthrough this season has been impressive. He forced his way into the u18s and from his early performances in Malaysia he always looked like he had a goal in him. Will definitely be a good one to watch. His England goal will do him a world of good confidence wise too. Our only England striker since Kane I believe, don't remember any of the others being called up

I had forgotten he was on a free, but there is no such thing as free anyway, as @Spursidol points out, less fee inevitably means bigger sign on an much bigger wages. More to the point, I don't want any more average footballers blocking the conveyor belt for our own development players. If they turn out to be average, that's fine, but it will be much economically viable for them to be turn out average than for players we have to pay fees/big wages to be average.
I agree, less of these Murphy, Saha, Nelsen, Bent sort of signings please. Hopefully with Mitchell we will start going for potential as we did with Commoli and Arnesen, rather than the ready made product. Our scouting system has been a joke since Redknapp took over.

You do realise that 2 of the players mentioned were signed by Comoli. The players Redknapp bought helped us to 2 4th place finishes. Something we hadn't done since 1991.
