much more involved 2nd half playing from the right. won a number of free kicks just outside the area, big defenders really struggle with him and resort to just shoving him over.

Much better second half from Pritch, given more licence to look for the ball, Brentford were very unlucky.
Jonathon Moss is a poor poor ref, That fat number 10 of Boro's should've been off first half before they scored for playing volleyball on the floor just after being booked, and the only time Moss gave Pritchard a free kick it was for a dive.

Gonna be hard with Boro's Mourinho inspired tactics to turn it around at their place.

And the Bees left back Bamford, wow, just proper shit

Just hope we get him on a long term contract sooner rather than later, with Sherwood circling in the wings, it's not good that Pritch only got a one year contract. If Sherwood convince him that he'll play first team football and get a decent contract at Villa, then we're in a weak position to resist a bid.

I think he has a good chance of good playing time at Spurs sooner rather than later. I think as long as we offer him decent assurances, he'll stick around.

Tottenham's Alex Pritchard is in talks over new four-year deal

Alex Pritchard has held discussions over a new four-year contract at Tottenham after being told he is wanted as a fully integrated member of the first-team squad next season, Sky sources understand.

The 22-year-old, who has thrived on a season-long loan at Brentford, will be part of the club's pre-season preparations after being assured over his future at White Hart Lane.

Spurs told Pritchard in December he would get the chance to prove himself this summer but his remarkable season in the Championship has led Tottenham to bring forward their decision and attempt to tie him down to a long-term deal.

The move comes as part of Tottenham's renewed transfer policy of developing young players, and the club see Pritchard as someone who can follow the likes of Harry Kane, Ryan Mason, Nabil Bentaleb and Danny Rose in becoming a successful first-team member.

Discussions were held between Pritchard's representatives, head of football operations Rebecca Caplehorn and head of recruitment Paul Mitchell on Thursday, and Sky sources understand Pritchard is keen to make the breakthrough at Spurs

Looks like Pritch will be back training at Spurs next week - good to get him under the eye of Pach as early as possible, especially with him likely to miss half of pre-season if he is called up for the u21's.

After an hour Boro who won 2-1 at Brentford are 2-0 up at home giving them a 4-1 aggregate position with 30 mins to play.

Be a great way to start the TW, with an AM tied into a 4 year contract. Thanks for posting

Fantastic news, but I'd be a little surprised if it was just the four year deal...

Tbf there is still no guarantee he will make it in the Prem, hence why Bentaleb, Mason and Kane prob got longer contracts. You can bet if Pritchard has a great season he will get an extension

Maybe 4 years with an option for Spurs to extend for 2 years for example.

I'm sure wages wise, he'll start on whatever is considered acceptable but low for a PL player these days (£20k pw ?) which will be increased probably several times in the next year or two if Pritch settles in the PL.

Mauricio Pochettino has confirmed Alex Pritchard will be part of the first-team squad next season.

Pochettino: Yes of course, he [Alex Pritchard] is in our plans for next season."

Pochettino: "He starts pre-season when he gets back from the Euros."

Pochettino: "We are looking forward to having him back after a successful loan with Brentford."
