He won't be going anywhere as I can't see us selling BOTH him and Ade, that along with Poch's comments.

...but they barely play. Would rather both went and replaced by somebody who warrants a chance.

RedCafe have a Soldado thread...except theirs is called Falcao

I can see us desperately wanting to sell both

Ade however will be difficult to sell because people will need to match his demands or he'd rather sit tight

Bobby will be hard to sell because of his age and decline in form/value. Only Spanish clubs will be interested and probably none of the top ones so the problem will be getting anyone able or willing to pay whatever Levy wants for him

I really hope the lad gets a move back to Spain, as I want to see things go well for him. There's just something about him that is really likeable. We need to refresh the striking options and get players that can back up and possibly play with Kane.

I'd be guessing

But since you asked what I think - I will guess that Soldado earns approx £60k a week

Which may or may not be a stumbling block, I doubt it. I think he would be reasonable with his demands in order to get a move back home and play regular football again.

I think however the issue selling him would be the fee Levy wants for him - assuming we paid £26m for him (I don't personally buy the £13m plus £13m inactivated add on story)Levy will not want to take such a massive loss on a player. I really can't see anyone offering more than £8m for him

We'd have to take a loss either way - if the fee really was only £13m it will be a lot easier to shift him as Levy will be more likely to accept a smaller loss, but if it was £26m and we stand to lose close to £20m on the trading of him I can see Levy pricing him out of a move with demands that exceed his value and us being stuck with him until his contract runs out like we were with Bentley

As for Ade - I think he's shown already that he would rather sit on his arse than move on to get regular football if it means taking a pay cut. No I don't think anyone thinks he's on a million a week, but I think people (like me) think he's still on inflated wages since his time at Man City when they were first splashing the cash to bring in players and I think now he's stock is not at the level where any top clubs (who may pay those level of wages) would want him and the clubs that will want to bring him in will refuse to pay his wage demands because they would break their budget (structure)

I assume he is on £100k per week (or there abouts) and I think it is more than someone like Villa would offer him (and this is the level of clubs that will want him)

We could possibly get lucky if a rich arab, MLS or perhaps even Monaco (if they still have the ability to splash money around)

But most likely I think we'd going to have to loan him out and pay part of his wages just to get him off the books and free up a space in the squad for someone new and that loan will take him until his contract expires and we can finally be shot - that or keep him around in the same capacity he is now. I just don't see anyone paying him what he will ask for to make a full time switch in the summer (he'd rather stay on the hire wage for his final year of contract and then as a free agent demand a big signing on bonus to off set any reduction in wage he has to take at that time, having collected his full contract worth of money with us)

obv most would prefer if they both went but we have to be realistic, along with poch saying soldado needs time which makes me think he will stay and ade will leave.

Poch's comments are irrelevant, he's not going to say anything negative.

He decides who stays and who goes (so we believe) and I believe this means he will keep Soldado given the choice between him and Adebayor.

Unless we get ITK saying we are actively looking to sell BOTH, I believe 1 will stay (Soldado) and 1 will come in (?)

I'm pretty sure we have got ITK along those lines.

if you are referring to jj's comment then it would have been posted in the ITK? but as i said, until we get a full confirmation then yea, i stick by what I said.

we have been here far too many times and know how difficult it is to get rid of these players let alone Ade.

I can't see us keeping him. Although in every matchday squad he contributes nothing when brought on. Need better. I can't get that short pass to Chadli in the Europa League out of my mind!

Certainly isn't his performances that are likeable

Like Paulinho, I really wouldn't be shocked if he was at the club next season. Under normal circumstances, he'd probably be out, but I think we have too many players that need shipping out as it is. We'll sell if a good offer comes in, but I can't see him being a priority.

We will most definitely be selling both. What's the point in keeping either when they don't play more than 10 mins a month and don't contribute anything. Might aswell put Friedel upfront.

No chance we will start the season with either of them in our squad, I'm willing to put a £10 donotion on the line for that.

I think selling both leaves us with a MASSIVE problem. Doing that leaves us with 1 striker meaning we need 2 more. We don't pay the wages that make players move to sit on the bench, what level of forward can we really attract to play second fiddle to Kane? It greatly concerns me.

So what have we been doing this year then? Paying Soldado and Ade about £160k a week to contribute 3 league goals between them.

I'm a pessimist: I think Levy will want too much money (i.e. >£nil) for any of the clubs who might be interested in Soldado to contemplate in addition to having to pay Bobby's high wages, and so I think we'll be stuck with him next season. If that's the case I'd expect him to finish 2015/16 with less than 10 goals in all competitions. Ugh.

I don't see who would offer any money for him. The best we can hope for is to get his wages off the books, but then its also a case of who can afford those. We might get lucky and some Middle Eastern team for instance might offer him a contract.
