Morning A&C and morning all! Sure most people are feeling a little deflated at the moment, especially after yesterdays ST deadline! Could do with news of a bright, new, shiny signing (not Wimmer* especially) to brighten up our week, although in truth I don't expect anything til after the weekend coming.

I would hope that the future of Pritchard and his perceived worth is also planned at the moment and isn't relying necessarily on the tour of Australia in order for us to decide (GF info).

I guess in reality the stadium and what is happening there will have a larger affect than all this though?

*Nothing against the signing of Wimmer, it''s just that I remember JJ (I think in January) saying he will be one for the future a little more than straight into the deep end.

So, let the madness commence!

I'm sure they are optimistic about him and have been impressed with what they have seen at Brentford, however the PL is a different League and a different set of players. I think it only understandable that they want to assess him around Premiership players and Australia post season is a perfect opportunity to help the management decide his potential role in the squad.

We all hope that Pritchard will come back ready and raring to go and able to replicate the Championship form against the Citys and Chelseas, but we know the leagues are disparate. Poch will have formed an opinion from his scouts this year, but there is nothing like working up close and personal with a player in a Prem environment.

@jetsetyid are we still sniffing around berahino and mirallas mate?
The original JJetset‏@jetsetyid
Berahino has 'issues' but not for Twitter !
-------------------------------------------------------------
Not earth shattering, but seems JJ is ruling out a move for Berahino...
He doesn't though consign Mirallas to the scrap heap, which doesn't actually mean anything...but ....

I didn't think Berahino's drink and behaviour problems were a secret. You only need to look at his police record - driving at 110mph while completely off his face. Not a clever boy.

I know Poch has tamed angry Danny Rose, but give me Ings and his charity representing our club any day of the week.

I'd prefer Ings, but I certainly would prefer Berahino to Austin.....

It's a shame, I think Berahino probably has the highest ceiling- but after our experience with certain players and their reported attitudes the last couple of years, I really can't be bothered with the off the field stuff.

No one knew Mason would take to the EPL, so we can't judge how Pritchard will do.

We all thought Tom Carroll would make it and he had a few EPL loans? such a shame, but hopefully all fingers crossed he makes the step up and comes good for us

I'd look abroad if not Ings

I don't think Austin is top half quality and Berahino is a bad egg - another Baletelli, Saurez or Sterling who is going to cause trouble wherever he goes.

I think Ings is perfect because we need a back-up (and occasional partner) for Kane, not a long term starter.

Austin has/ had attitude problems, I heard rumours about him especially when he was in the lower leagues. Hearing Berahino having issues is no surprise, don't really want him as well.

Austin? Ings?

Is it a spectacular nervous breakdown you're all after?

A hissyfit of epic proportions?

He did.

I don't know about anymore though, he may have grown up.

Austin is way too slow to be of use to us. We need someone with genuine pace to compliment Harry.

I'm at the airport this afternoon , flying Easyjet. Yes, I know, i'll have my eyes peeled looking for Levy's mega signing. Will update you all if I don't get detained by Levy's goon squad

I think Carroll is a player who we need a player to come on and move the ball quickly maybe not a starter but someone who can come on and change a game when we can't break teams down.
