The problem is, in training Lamela is bound to look special as he's playing against Spurs defence, and we all know how great our defence make even mediocre players look! :p

The ITK suggests that form in training is being carried over to match day.
I think the ITK is spot on.

The ITK is good news as far as SC is concerned. I have a £5 bet with @Gbspurs with me saying Lamela will stay and Gbspurs saying the opposite. I'll match his £5 if he does stay...

I don't care how much he cost. Are you actually saying hes been good for us the last two years? As I said I would love him to prove me wrong, but we all said give Soldado one more season, Paulinho just needs to learn the league, if Capoues fit he will be a monster, ect ect ect. Cut our losses now because he has so many points to his game he needs to change he will be 30 till he settles in this league

Now I agree that Lamela hasn't been great the past few years but neither was Ronaldo when he was young and at United. People forget all the problems he had in those first few years at United because he matured into a world class player after 4 years at the club. Players with potential will take time to develop and patience is needed. Happy that he stays another year then if he hasn't produced or developed he can go.

My biggest hope is that he comes good. Be £5 well spent if he stays and becomes the sort of player we all hope he can.

I must admit there has been something of a transformation in him since he got back into the team. Before he looked devoid or ideas, incapable of doing the simplest tasks. Since he has come back he has looked quite central to all we are doing which is promising.

Maybe that bit of time out of the limelight gave him the opportunity to work hard in training without worrying about match day.

One positive I will say about Lamela is that no matter how bad his first 2 years has been here, he always seems willing t. knuckle down and work hard and you never hear any complaints from him or his management team.

you want itk you say? ok! not the most exciting perhaps

jasper on so on poch being given 30 mill to spend this summer: Media bs (30m). All targets agreed from what I am aware of. Regardless if they all come in first will not determine how quick or slow the deals happen as we have to shift. Within the club staff are excited and confident by the deals themselves. Not long to wait.

Lamela for me is worth keeping, because we're unlikely to get anything near what we paid for him back and he has at the very least shown that he is a hard worker and is able to keep the team-shape and pressing philosophy favoured by the manager.

When judging his largely underwhelming or inconsistent performances, it must be remembered, that he is essentially on the come-back trail from a very serious injury. This injury effectively prevented him having his 'break-through season'. From an experience point of view, this season was his first in English football. It's a tough league to get to grips with, but there are signs that he is beginning to get the hang of it. His performances are improving and that is enough for me.

You might say he isn't a £30m player, but what's the point of saying that? You've got to forget the price tag now, it's a question of whether he's worth keeping or not. For me, out of Townsend, him and Lennon, he's the one worth keeping as I think the potential end product he offers is superior to the other two. Even if what is judged to be a poor season by many, he has had a statistically decent season in terms of chances created and assists. I think he DOES have goals in him too and that this will come in time, if we persist.

This sentence makes no sense to me. What does he mean?
I think he's trying to say that the deals for the incoming targets don't depend on there being outgoings first. Which would mean we may see earlier deals done this summer. Won't hold my breath though.

Massive news.

The club pulling in the same direction irrespective of whether we all agree that Poch is the right man is a massive step.

Its going to be an excellent summer

Never said he was. Just quite annoying hearing you bang the same drum over and over and over and over and over and over and over again.
Quick question, how is it spam? Or off topic? Discussing Lamela when there has been Lamela ITK?
You answered your question before you asked it.

There's a whole difference between discussing the actual ITK and debating his merits as a player, which has been/is being done to death in Spurs chat. I don't want that in here, we provide enough venues for it already.

This section confuses me a bit. It appears to contradict itself. Is it suggesting that they (incomings) could be our first deals done? It then seems to suggest that we need to sell first before bringing players in.

The American educational system may have failed me here, someone please help me out.
