I cant believe all this nfl talk right now, honestly. None of the nfl guys have said a word and they would have this week during the spring owners meetings.

Also, soccer fans love being close to the pitch, like we have at the lane. That simply cant happen in a stadium with nfl games.

Odd to hear that, since the London Monarchs used to play at White Hart Lane.

The only thing i've seen tottenham mention about a new design was the new basement.
Have they said anything else?

Tottenham Hotspur have confirmed a one-tier ‘Kop-style’ South Stand remains part of its new stadium designs following confusion among fans this afternoon.

Supporters were left disappointed when new images, published in an online application for minor amendments to the plans, appeared to show a switch to a two-tier stand – similar to Arsenal’s Emirates Stadium.

The graphics, which were available on Haringey Council’s planning website, were removed this afternoon after a Twitter storm erupted among fans.

Many were left angered at the apparent scrapping of the one-tier stand, with many contacting the club's official Twitter feed to voice their concerns.

But the club confirmed to the Haringey Independent this afternoon that the one-tier stand, similar to Liverpool’s famous Kop end, remains part of the designs.

The amendments, which were submitted to Haringey Council last week, concern drainage and hoardings placements, as well as environmental plans for the new stadium.

So, as things stand on our request for an amendment in our Planning permission, from what I can tell the only issues that have been raised have been from the Met Police, the Water and the London Archeological Service.. All Boroughs and other interested stakeholders have all accepted and approved the mods we've submitted.

Heard 3rd hand from someone from someone from someone that Edmonton has stated the latest NFL talks are 'inconclusive'. Can't promise this is correct andt it's not a word I generally use so make of it what you will. So I conclude from this inconclusiveness that we don't actually know what will happen...I think I now know that much. :confused:o_O

Not sure if this was posted over the weekend, again in the NFL thread on COYS:

Nothing really new, but for those who enjoy hearing the smaller snippets, here are a couple.

From Galahad:

"All major terms agreed by principals. As with most complex contracts, the devil is in the details. Far more important to get it right, than agree to a bad deal. Patience. There's no rush. June should be a good month for THFC.

From a new source, Ghalib:

"We bide our time. No rush. Next month, next year, the summer before the new stadium opens, makes no great difference. DL wants a single shirt/stadium sponsor. He's learned from his neighbours, and ours."

This deal with the American egg chasers is great news. It means that the stadium sponsors will need to be very rich and therefore we shouldn't get an embarrassing tin-pot sponsor (I'm thinking Nike or Coke rather than AIA or Wonga).

AIA net assets are $134.439bn Their net income is $3.019bn. they used to be part of AIG. Wouldn't exactly call them tin pot.

@dovahkiin posted this from COYS in the ITK thread as well:

hertyid in nfl/ownership thread: Been away for a while. Spoke with my friend. He flew to Malaysia on Saturday (with Ossie again, his new travel companion) and will be in meetings the next few days. Some big commercial deals being signed by the sounds of it. Can't see this being anything but good news.

DL must have learned that its a bad idea. They were getting 10m a year for 10 years, they renewed at 30m for 5 years. That would work out at £16.6 million over 15 years. We are getting about that from AIA now just for shirt sponsorship.

Doesn't mean that we would ask for a 10 year shirt sponsor. What if it was stadium and shirt for 5 years?

Looking at those photos and assuming the Kop stand is going to be the White House and Sainsbury's end then it's going to be a steep stand. There doesn't appear to be a lot of room from the boundary to the inside shape that I think is the pitch. And it's no wider than the existing stadium stands by the look of it,
