Tottenhamterry... Any particular reason for the spam? You think he slow? Already a good player? Don't just spam, discuss.

Out of curiosity, how has Naughton looked at Swansea this year? He was atrocious for us at left back and I was one of those slagging him off but once he was played at RB again I thought he actually looked good and didn't think we should sell him (knowing Yedlin would take some time to be ready).

Looks like walker for Premier League.. and for Euro & cups will be Yedlin & Trippier. So they can be rotated on form, injuries. Or Yedlin on loan and walker / dier / Trippier all games.

So, either Walker is going to be sold to the highest bidder or Yedlin goes down as yet another utterly pointless signing.

IMO... waker to stay, we need two experienced RB. and Dier as cover. So Yedlin out on loan to Championship side..lower Premier League team.

If I was Yedlin I wouldn't be to happy, it seems he was bought for commercial reasons as some people said at the time.

Obviously he does not trust Yedlin & Walker needs a kick up the backside to get him firing again so £3.5 mil buy him it's a no brainer.

Do you know he provided more assists than two Spurs attacking midfiled regulars this season?

Now go figure why Poch wants him.

Which two?

Doesn't he take all their corners for them, and free kicks?

Isn't there a stat which also shows he has 'misplaced' 200 passes more than anybody else in the Premier League?

I know people hate Walker, but to suggest this guy is better than him is absolutely ludicrous.

I thought an assist was when a player passed a ball to another that scored the goal? A corner isn't an assist unless a goal is scored from is surely?

Eriksen takes all our free kicks, or almost all does he not?

Finally where did i say that he was better than Walker? My own opinion is that Walker is the weak link of our back four but i have not seen enough play of Trippier to suggest to me that he is better than what we currently have..

If this story is indeed true then more important people than me think that they need a third right back at the Club and that's without using Dier as cover. That in itself should indicate to anyone on here that Poch see's the RB position as a weakness.

So which two players does he have more assists than?

I am asking if all (or the majority) of his assists have come from his corners and set pieces as opposed to open play. It can be a very misleading stat if all the assists have come from corners etc.

I have seen him a few times this season and he clearly can put a good percentage ball in the box, but I am not sure how that would benefit us as we only ever have one player in the box. The Poch 'philosophy' would suggest that isn't going to change either

Your first two posts would definitely suggest you think Trippier is better than Walker.

Hopefully we get a fully fit Walker at the start of the season and he proves people wrong - similar to Rose in some respect this season.

It comes as no surprise to me that the only other team linked to Trippier are the ones that will finish bottom of the Premier League next season.

Or it's a good opportunity to offload Walker who, along with Townsend , is a player overrated by the England head coach , totally useless for us and we might get reasonable money for both of them that will help strengthen in other key positions. Trippier would be a good addition especially for the fee quoted.

It was only a couple of years ago he got young player of the year award. Since then he had almost a year out with a serious injury. Let him have a pre season and see if he can get back to his best.
People were slagging Rose off last year.
