Hope it's true and that they have the money. I believe Soldado will do very well for them as there's not doubt about his talent - just that he's not built for the EPL.

Footballing aside, I very much doubt that a doting father would move his young family to Turkey. Can't see it.

Istamboul is ok, its certainly not a 3rd world place to live (decent medical services etc) - and footballers live a pampered life in the best villas etc, so it wouldn't be a big concern for me. Language may or may not be an issue - plenty of Turks speak English so if the Galatasaray coach speaks English, Soldado won't have a communication problem

They've just signed 30 year old Podolski from Arsenal, so it maybe they don't want another striker of the same vintage - but maybe they do (hope !)

Him and Ade are going to be the hardest to shift

I'd love turkish clubs to come in and take them off our hands

We can but hope

He'd still be moving his young kids from London (one of the best places to live in the world, allegedly) to a country that borders Iraq and Serbia Syria.

If there's one thing I've observed about Roberto, it's that he's a family man - his decisions will be less based on whether or not he can speak to the coach, and more based about the education and life his wife & kids will have imo.

I think he'll either stick in England (in whatever capacity), or move back to spain

Should imagine his record in Spain will still count for something. Otherwise he very much has the look of the Chavski Torres about him...

Think his kids will be below school age, but if not there are British and international schools in Istamboul which will be better than many schools in England.

Whilst I would agree that London is a great place to live, and I';m sure Soldado enjoyed both Madrid and Valencia, Istamboul is not a cultural or medical backwater, and as I've pointed out, with the amount of money he earns, he can find a great place for his family to live, international friends (IIstamboul has a lot of foreigners living there) and Istamboul is hundreds of miles away from the Iraq & Syrian border (I suspect you meant Syria rather than Serbia ?) - I'd guess at 3 hours flying time - so proximity to that conflict zone would not be a concern with the armed forces that Turkey has got, let alone NATO getting involved if IS got into Western Turkey

I always get confused between Syria and Serbia when I'm not thinking. Probably because of years of Serb fighting and so on.

I can't see it, but we'll see. I still think he'll only choose England or Spain, should he move.

It's harder to think of a bigger disaster signing than him, we would be very fortunate to get the £8 million we supposedly want for him.

I'd add Italy, France (and maybe even Germany - only sticking point could be language), plus of course I'd hope he'd consider Turkey !

Who would want him in France?

Maybe Italy

But his stock is so low right now I think it's gonna be something like a move to turkey or a move back home to Spain

I doubt any championship clubs in England would want him

I would be delighted just to get him off the books.
Yes but I suspect we need to get as much as possible for him in order to be able to reinvest

Just getting their wages off the books must be worth something

I just fear another bentley situation with Soldado

If we can shift ade I won't be too upset if soldado stays, at least you know you get hard work with him. And who knows a run of Europa games against lesser opposition could reignite his form, now there is less pressure on him die to expectations well and truly lowered
