Hopefully a Lamela replacement and not our back up striker.

Have heard some good things but some who start to worry me already: lack of game vision, dribbling not so good, avoids physical battles, totally inconsistent and goes missing in games.
Hopefully he can prove me wrong here but doubt he is the saviour. At least some pace and goal threat.

Welcome Son!

In Korea, one of his nicknames is washing machine, because he has a poor game and then scores a goal and cleans his ratings. :woot:
Hope you guys give him time to settle in and support him. really good player on his day

He is not David Silva, but his vision is not that poor from what i've seen. His dribbling is also good and he's two-footed.

His physicality is something I'm worried about though, we'll just have to see how he adapts.

HAHAHA I saw a comment from a Liverpool fan astounded that we would pay 20m or more for him, and I quote, 'especially when you consider we got Firmino for 28m.'

And it would not surprie me if Firmino earns at least twice as much as Son.

from that top5 goals vid he looked very comfortable scoring from the right. Reckon we'll have him on the right, N'jie on the left and Eriksen and Kane central. If we can get our CM pairing sorted (which I think will end up as Alli and a resurgent Bentaleb), we'll be a very dangerous side. Think with all that pace up front we can play Trippier at right back as well to give the forwards better service

The fact is - if he was the finished product and could do everything well, he'd be out of our reach. We have to nurture and develop him. Two footed, quick and a good finisher is a fine starting point though.

Stupid question but I am sure someone mentioned national service implications? Are there any with him?

he has 5~7 years till hes called up. if he wins a gold medal in the Asian Games or wins any medal in the Olympics he'll be fine. Even if he wins a medal he still needs to attend short military training.

Guys, get ready to for a pre-season trip to South Korea next year. Or maybe Levy's gona squeeze in a few games there this year already.
Just 2 milion Spurs shirt sold in South Korea and the transfer fee is covered.

Not sure if already posted but his interview from the official website. I like the last paragraph - 'bold and daring' is exactly what we're missing right now.

"I like to play a passing game and prefer to work with offensive players who are dominant and can scare the opponents. I am right footed, but I’ve trained with both feet so I can use them freely. Bold and daring – this is how I like to try to play.”
