Hello people fairly new to this site, I often come on as a non member to read posts and opinions find the posts in here great!

Welcome to the site, and great to have new people posting.

I guess its a no-win situation all round. People are against Wembley, against MK Dons, Upton Park looks undoable, we all know why the Emirates wont happen, and the other options are too small. But we need that new stadium, and we have to move away to do it.

Personally, I'd rather Wembley because it isn't linked with any other club. It's like a foster-stadium, looking after orphaned teams who haven't got a home, before they are re-housed. The only other realistic options are the Olympic Stadium (obviously will have a club in residence, and West Ham are unlikely to do us a favour. I also don't see the authorities forcing it so we can play there too, as they have already changed the rules re: the OS) and MK Dons, which will probably happen but its too far away imo.

Of course, I'd love to trash the Emirates but that's why that wont hapen

t appears Arsenal supporter and Chief Executive of the premier league Richard Scudamore, doesn't know his arse from his elbow, and all his gobbing off last week about not being able to use two venues in the same season, was just a load of crap, as no such rule exists.
.
Journalist and Tottenham Hotspur Supporters Trust (THST) board member, Martin Cloake revealed in the London Evening Standard.

After explaining THST still remained hopeful a deal could be arranged to solely use Wembley during the redevelopment, Cloake revealed: “The preferred option of both the club and the fans for the time away from White Hart Lane is Wembley. We’ve written to Greg Dyke at the FA to ask for his help securing Wembley but received no reply yet.

“There is no rule requiring clubs to play all games in one campaign at a single stadium. We’ve checked the rules and we’ve checked with the Premier League legal team. They’ve confirmed there is no rule.”

After going to Milton Keynes for a Foo Fighters gig last night I'm really hoping MK is out of the question.

Traffic control was chaos and took 6hrs to do a 2hr drive. I can only imagine football is generally ok as they don't sell out the stadium for MK Dons matches but improvements are sorely needed if we go there

Probably not, as they have there's tied to a contract for the next 99 years. So they obviously get a discount lol. I can imagine them wanting to get close to what we offered wembley rent wise.

Wont get anywhere near wembley price. Wembley is purpose built, one of the greatest stadiums in the world with magnificent corporate facilities. The os hasn't even got a toilet in the ground.

It's less than 2/3rds the size of Wembley, not purpose built, doesn't half anywhere near the facilities + we'd be limited on which days we can rent it as it can't clash with West Ham.

Shouldn't cost more than £4m per season max and probably less.

Would be hilarious if we could get it next season already and piss all over West Ham's big move. They don't have a veto!

I thought Brady said they did and they would use it?

Try living in the area and trying to do anything in Bletchley on day of an event/match!!!
They've added some nice new facilities around the stadium, but didn't actually consider the road access for any of it.
So now on match day you get 10,000 people's worth of cars on top of those out doing shopping, cinema, eating.
Fuck knows how they're going to deal with hosting 3 rugby world cup matches next month.

If the Mrs wants to go to Ikea/Asda on a Saturday, first thing I check is if there's a home game. If there is, she can wait a week to go shopping!

All this talk of how inaccessible the Don's stadium is - we're the fans who go to White Hart Lane every week, arguably one of the least accessible grounds in the premier league! The nearest tube station is on a wank line and is still a trek from the ground, both overground stations are pathetically underweight, the high road itself becomes all but pedestrianised - if we end up at MK for a year lets just look at it as one last nostalgic season battling geography and town planners to see our lovely Spurs kick a ball about.

Do you only allow her to leave the house on Saturdays?

On one side I can see where you're coming from but it's still in London and you can get access to the tube network relatively quickly (20min walk and 10min waiting for tube through the crowd).

For fans like myself (down in sunny kent) this normally means a tight race to catch a train home after an evening kick off (missed a last train home once by staying through extra time). Now bare in mind that Milton Keynes is an extra hour by train in the other direction it will mean having to drive.

This weekend was my first impression of Milton Keynes roads when busy and thought it would be a nice test to see what it's like... it was not good with too many roundabouts preventing the flow of traffic (due to idiots blocking the roundabout rather than allowing others to pass through). It took us 4 hours to travel the final 2 miles due to the congestion.

MK Dons currently have an average home attendance of 8k (source) which will quadruple should we go there (capacity 30,500).

One of my sisters has great contacts in Stadium MK. Free tickets, access to all areas the works, plus she loves me and I am number one on her list for freebies if we go there.

Also worth noting that MK Council were NOT responsible for the fuck up in traffic management on Saturday night.
They handed the responsibility for traffic management to the owners of the National Bowl, Gaming International, who made such a pigs ear, that the council stepped in and took over for Sunday night.

The problem is that there are maybe 2 gigs per year at the Bowl, so Gaming International will have had little idea how to plan and execute the traffic side of things.
Presumably, if we moved to Stadium MK, we would work in partnership with the Dons in terms of organisation, and seeing as they host 23 League games per season, plus have rugby matches and other events, they know what they are doing.

First season in the stadium only, I believe.

I would hate the OS for many other reasons, save that it would really piss on The Spammer's bonfire so soon after getting into their new home!
She did say that but I'm pretty sure I saw a report that she's not right.

If we do need to move at the end of this season, and can't move to the OS because of West Ham's veto, imagine what a stink we could kick up. Taxpayer losing revenue because a tenant paying minima rent has a veto!

It'd be great to think that anyone other than us would care but experience says not.
