I'm not sure what we'd do with that sort of 2nd striker/#10 type player. Would we drop Eriksen to accommodate him etc

Came on as a substitute so does that mean he's not good enough to start for Newcastle?

He's really not that good, yes he's scored against us twice but you wouldn't exactly want him deputising for Kane

He has always looked good when I have seen him. Whether it is worth us going for him would depend on the price.

Fuck me, it's like we should just sign every **** who has the temerity to score against us.

I've personally wanted us to look at him since the summer. There is a reason Real Madrid and Barcelona were keen to sign him...

Yes, and he's definitely not good enough for our bench either. Rather give Harrison the bench seat than him.
I think he would be good enough for our bench - his record is decent, he's young and we haven't got any other true strikers.

Harrison has never played in the premier league, Poch can't think he's ready yet.

This rumour had nothing to do with him scoring against us. He even came out and said we had spoken to him during the summer.

Agree and think Poch would fancy his chances of giving his game an uplift, to become strong cover quality in time

Not suggesting this would be in place of an Embolo, or the like, additional to I would hope. Summer is going to be very expensive, Levy might well see sense in an early investment to finish the season strong (can but dream).

Tangentially, Seems to me we're collectively suffering from a bit of Stockholm syndrome though, only our captor is the perception that two strikers would be the most we could have, as we only play 1 up top. If people relaxed and thought of there being three as a squad target then we could really cover Poch's strong team every game mentality.

Look, I'm not saying he's not got redeeming qualities, but he he's not exactly got a USP has he. He's like a plethora of of little nippy strikers, he's a marginally harder working Defoe who scores at an almost identical rate.

So Berahino and Perez are both like Defoe now?

Is every short striker in the PL another Defoe?

At the moment I would take that

No two players are ever identical but these three all offer similar qualities to a team. None of them are an Aguero or a Suarez who bring a dimension to the team even when they are not scoring (or even Vardy), none of them have the composure, intelligence and range of finish of say a Sturridge.

Perez has a fantastic workrate, Berahino has a very good range of finish from what I've seen.
