I am entitled to disagree with "Can't wait until he signs for them and they then finish above us, with Berahino scoring 15 goals". And spam it am I not? We do not have to agree and in this case I don't.

You could just do nothing.
The post wasn't spam and it does appear rather churlish to rate it so.

As for this whole Berahino thing, I've a feeling that the longer it drags on and the more clubs 'apparently' get involved, the messier it's going to get.
If we want it, get it done before everyone involved gets pissed off with it all. Our season is too important to start playing silly buggers with at this stage.

While I agree to a certain extent, the fact he wants us does give us a bit more strength regarding our position. Peace knows that barring one of the real big boys coming in, he has an asset that is depreciating in value by the week unless he sells to us. My guy is very confident of this happening because everything is pretty much in place, but then he(along with everyone else) thought it was done on deadline day as well. All about Peace now and how stupid and stubborn he will be. If he can afford to waste millions on a player the fans, and manager don't want to prove a point then fair play to him. Oh and we have been in regular contact with WBA trying to get this done!

If we are to sign this guy, sooner the better for me.
He'll need his fitness upped.... massively to fit in with our thing, but hopefully he's not in too much poor condition.

I have no inside knowledge whatsoever, but I'd be amazed if this deal happens. Levy won't offer what we did in the summer and I think it would be too much to stomach for Peace to have to eventually sell him to us for less after the fuss he made.

Hopefully Pearce will see sense and do the deal!!

I don't have hope and expectations that it will happen, no
No but you're taking the time to post in the thread.

Then if you're wrong you've wasted your time and everyone else's whose had to read it.

Thanks Trix. Seems like we're doing all the right things here. Hopefully Levy doesn't see too much weakness in Peace and tries to take the piss. We need it over the line just as much as they want rid of a player that doesn't want to be there.

Absolutely agree, it's in everyone's best interests to get this done asap.

That's good stuff and good to hear.
Was worried that we might drag our feet, as can be our style.
Guess I'm still getting used to this new, proactive Tottenham!

5? Us, United, Chelsea, Liverpool, Stoke? Maybe Arsenal as one. I'm not suggesting they'll throw £40M as these United, Chelsea and Arsenal will all obviously aim for a higher calibre but with injuries and poor form in front of goal playing a part I wouldn't be surprised to see the other 4 go for him

Peace is a churlish piece of work so even though he will probably end up doing the deal he will drag it out just because.

Well if the ego's rule yet again on the transfer and Peace stubbornly sticks to his guns, I bloody well hope that Levy gives a sufficient deadline in which we can move onto our plan B and C.
