The commentators seemed to love Townsend, though. It's amazing how, once hype gets started, it seems to blind people.

I had previously an impression that Glover was very good. I thought he was very weak yesterday. What do you think?

I think he cost us the first goal with a poor bit of distribution (Lloris does this too at times though) and the goal that trickled in wasn't too impressive either but I have seen him make some really good saves in other games. Very early days, especially for a keeper and I've only seen him a few times so haven't formed much of an opinion to be honest.

I know people are apt to blaming ugo for the team management but wouldn't mcdermott step in if he felt ugo was hampering the u21s development. I'm sure they have talks about how they feel they should challenge the players and keep them improving and playing them in unfamiliar positions is one of the tools used.

Onomah is on the bench instead of Chadli.

Didn't know this. Great vote of confidence. Quite surprising as I think Chadli is probably better to affect games being a winger and a good one at that, but probably says something about who better fits Poch's style or who is training better, and also Onomah has also put in some good performances whenever he has played so far.

Also @Blake Griffin you were right, it's pronounced Honour-ma

Sam Sashoua made the goal with a skillful run. New signing Shilow Tracey made his debut in centre midfield. #THFC

Shilow Tracey thumped a header against the crossbar. Never seen the lad play, but I bet he'd have felt like $1million if he'd scored in his first game since moving here permanently.

Head up, though. A draw isn't too bad when considering Mexico are probably more used to playing at altitude & in the heat etc.

Are premier league clubs not officially allowed to have feeder clubs in the lower leagues? Think it was good what we did with Swindon and Brentford sending a couple of players there at once. Think it could be taken a step further by setting up a proper partnership with a league1 or 2 club to send a few players there every season and also send coaches there a few times a week to put on some sessions, pass on knowledge etc surely something like that would be a benefit to both clubs involved.
