To be fair he had an as impressive sub appearance against City.

Not saying he isn't a decent player (especially as he's new) but I thought we were getting a player that would absolutely terrify a full back. To be fair it may be the system he's being asked to play. I just really hoped that at least as a plan B we would take a note from other teams in the league (Swansea, Palace, West Ham, Leicester) and get pace playing as wingers. Its the counter attack that is the way to play in the prem these days and the big sides trying to dictate the ball etc is what is becoming their undoing. Being inverted almost totally negates the explosive pace any of our players have.

Love this guy, gonna be great. Very good, technical, player there that just needs to settle. More often than not his first touch is immaculate. Just needs to get his rhythm and confidence and he'll be passing players for fun.

It's worth noting that Njie only has one full season under his belt, is adjusting to a new country and a new team, and was injured shortly after his move. It's far too early to judge him.

Looks energetic, pretty confident and determined. Initial showings indicate that he is a 'secondary phase' type of player - he's not going to be the focal point of an attack, he'll need players with a bit more quality around him to bring the best out of him, but he could be the direct player who gets the goal or assist and generally causes the opponent enough problems that they can't just crowd out the likes of Eriksen or Kane. I can see him working well with Kane if played in a two upfront, rather than the one with one behind (and always behind) that tends to happen.

he was willing to let lamela go(to marseille coincidentally) and he's managed to turn it around.
Did the deal get as far as N'jie though? He didn't choose to get Lamela but he chose N'jie, it's just bizarre he should want to get rid of him after one season.

Reports suggest that he didn't want to get rid and the staff will rate him and wanted Nkoudou abd Njie around at the same time but Marseille needed a replacement hence going for Njie.

Looks like he may be staying with us after all - personally I'm happy about this as I thought it would have been a shame for him to leave after an injury hit first season. Hopefully he can stay fit and work his way into the side, his pace will be important for us.
