So United get a fee for him in the summer when they sell him to Real Madrid.... do you really think he had a sudden change of heart and no longer wants to join Madrid and fully intends to stay at United? come on....

Well that isn't going to happen now...

I think Poch is legitimately determined to achieve something tangible at Spurs, if only so he doesn't acquire the reputation of a coach who starts great projects but can't or won't follow through. He did that at Soton, and if he did it with us and then struggled at a big job (as many do) he'd not have a lot of success in his record to point to. We've got a few years with him at least before he'll entertain another offer, and optimistically by that point we'll have had enough success that he won't want to.

The good thing with poch is that he doesn't have an agent. So there won't be someone in his ear trying to get him to move so they can have their cut.

After watching the Panorama programme on Putin and his dealings with Abramovich, I despise that club even more.

Why would he go to a smaller club? I genuinely feel he has the desire to achieve something special at Spurs. It looks like he will be given everything required to support him in that too.

A club like chavski, manure, city would never allow him to do things his way
2 would never put their faith in him like levy has.
3 wouldn't let him disassemble there precious big star names and get youth and hungry unknown quantities
4 would not let him have the level of control spurs have now given him.
5 would never buy in to his way of thinking 100%.
The long and short of it is no club bigger and as well equipped as spurs will be able to tempt him away at this present time because far to many things have clicked for him here the stars have aligned at present for him and us.
Only a fool would walk away and this guy strikes me as nobody's fool.

poch is highly intelligent and like most will understand just like the great Liverpool cycle began by shankly
this man u cycle of success has run its course and nothing will stop the return to mid table mediocrisy with maybe the odd cup final appearance!!. in 5 years time the mancs fans will sadly be singing why the where the best in Europe 10 years ago.. just like Liverpool fans do now!.

as for the small club in fulhams Russian mafia world allstar 11 I think poch has seen the coming ang goings
and ego's and would steer well clear.

wether or not we'll have the financial clout now to hopefully be the best of the next cycle remains to be seen but I think
poch relishes the challenge he's got with us !.

I think he gave an interview the other week stating how he wanted to build a legacy at Tottenham. I think he has a chairman who believes in what he's trying to do, and is backing him. There is not huge pressure on him to deliver titles at this stage, just to be making clear and visible progress.
He has ridden out last season with the majority of someone else's squad, and is now starting to shape it in his own vision.

Can't see him going anywhere just yet.

Not in a million years.

Poch wants to build something here and I could never see him wanting to go to a Club like Chelsea either - itchy trigger finger Roman as well, career suicide for a young manager.

As I said in another thread, he is a highly principled old fashioned guy. His relationship soured with Saints because his mentor was removed and Poch's plans were compromised by the owners. I believe he will stay but on his terms. Where he believes he has control of the football side without unfair interference. If that balance is compromised then he will be off. So Levy needs to understand Poch and whatdrives him. Ultimately that is the key to keeping Harry, Delli, Hugo etc. They will also be loyal to their manager.

I think it's time to give Poch an improved contract. Klopp is on 7m a year so I think somewhere close to that would be fair. Poch is without doubt THE most important man at the Club and we need to keep him.

The money they'd offer him would make it worth the risk for him.

I'd be highly surprised if anyone would turn down the riches in offer there.

I'd love him to stay but I imagine Levy isn't paying him what he's worth and isn't backing him financially in the transfer windows so far.

In the past he has given us targets and we haven't got his first choices and ended up with rubbish like fazio instead.

Failed to get another striker so far in two windows.

He might not say it publicly but he's probably a bit frustrated after all the good work he's doing.

I'd imagine Natalie Portman would really like to blow me off...she'd never say it publicly though.
This is a fun game.
