Hate on me if you want but we've finished above them 1 single time, to my recollection, since I've been supporting Spurs which is pushing 25 years now

I get no pleasure from making this point to you but to argue that they haven't been consistently better than us is absurd. Sorry.

Hopefully the worm is turning, I really hope so, I think you're right to say they've been declining & we've been getting better in recent years but there are still a million variables out there & we haven't beaten them yet
Please reread my post. In the first line I make the point that they have been better than us for 20 odd years. They were on a different planet to us for about a decade. The rest of the time it hasn't been as big a difference as that. Before that 20 odd years they weren't better than us and they aren't now. The gap has narrowed, they need to accept it and we need to believe it.

Watford:

Before:

By going 5 in midfield he's given extra protection to the full backs whilst not leaving the middle exposed. Spurs always like possession, however stifle them by clogging the midfield then they run out of ideas pretty quickly.

---

After:

Meh tough game really. Can we please stop this myth that Watson is really good with set pieces. ****ing atrocious. No need for a forum meltdown about the game though.

---

As soon as I heard it was the "Gomesh" commentator on the stream I knew we were in for a tough time.

I suppose considering the possession and control Spurs had it was quite good to come out of it conceding only one?

I think we could have played that game ten times though and we wouldn't have scored - let alone won.

Gomes was good again. Officials seemed massively biased in our favour which was amusing. Otherwise, it really was pretty dire.

In conclusion I think it's best if we scratch this game from our collective memories and never speak of the Ighalo-up-top-on-his-own experiment again.

---

Outclassed and outperformed. We'll be better against Palace, I'm sure.

Does Watson work for Yodel? Absolutely atrocious service today.

---

Spuds are bigger, faster, stronger, better than us all over the pitch

I don't think it matters who we play or what formation

Hahaha. My favourite comment from those above. [Insert bad Yodel experience here]

Interesting change of tone from the Watford fans though. Seems after two games they've realised where are teams stand.

I can't recall a more pitiful attempt at attacking then what Watford showed today. I kept saying to myself a real good chance would have to come eventually. Nope.

They were awful.

It would be hard for them to put a positive spin on that showing.defended well but under the cosh the whole game.

Hermes would be more appropriate for me :ROFLMAO:

Was interesting that even they felt the ref being in their favour. It was hugely frustrating. That bald fuck.

I truly would love to see what would happen to the Goon supporters if we finish above them... I think they are so effing smug about their dominance over us during the PL era, that it would send a few of them into a deadly spiral of drinking and drugs.

I just want to slap that smug BS St. Totteringham day from their faces. No one deserves it more. Even better would be if we finished above them... and won the league, with them in second place.

I can dream, right? ;)
Them in fifth place

Just like in the wild, I guess. The beta doesn't usually know that they are beta until the alpha demonstrates the difference.

Arsenal

Spuds really battering Watford. Still no goals though, miraculously.

From the comments i don't think Watford will hold on much more.

Come on Watford.

Tottenham bringing on the skillful Deli Alli

They play decent football these days Spurs.

Watford on the ropes.

Lovely attacking stuff to be honest.

Delli Ali on, lets see what the young man can contribute.

**** off trippier

Excellent goal to be fair.

Spurs score!!

Gomes is so ****

Fine goal

Trippier of all people. well it was coming.

The pikey right back finding space again

:ROFLMAO:

Great this really is the low point of the season.Spurs were always going to win this one anyway.

Massive pressure on us tomorrow. Leicester and Spurs don't get this sort of pressure.

Spurs are right there tbf

Spurs have the best GD in the league, amazing.

Worrying actually. Goal difference is a pretty telling indicator of quality.

They have been doing fantastically well, lets admit.

They are in the mix for sure.

Spurs have only beaten West Ham and City in the top half this season. Their recent run of form has come exclusively against bottom half sides, the only two times they've played decent sides (Everton and Leicester), they've dropped points. Let's not get carried away just yet.

People forget that as good as they have done, they are still not as far ahead and amazing as they are portrayed to be.

To be fair however, they are still delivering and its a far higher level than I've ever seen before. They are in the title mix for sure.

To be fair to Spurs, there the most consistent team in the league this season, playing some good stuff and Poch has them well drilled.
Drop points tomorrow and the title could be out of reach, confidence will hit rock bottom and after that it's a struggle to see where we'll make up ground. Tomorrow and Leicester is a required 6 points; nothing less!

Hmm, "only" - they've got six wins to our 5 from top half clubs. The difference in total return is a point, 21 next to 20.

Watford are in the top half and we've beaten them twice. So are Southampton, and we've beaten them; Arsenal haven't. West Ham dicked on them too.

Less Bile about us from Saintsweb today. And they had this wonderful observation:

Since Liverpool last won the League Peter Schmeichel signed for Manchester Utd, won it 5 times, retired, had a son, and he's about to win it with Leicester

I like the perspective not necessarily the conclusion of course.

Measured meltdown on bluemoon. On our boy Trips:

Kieran Trippier looking a proper right back these days. He's going to turn up highly motivated next week against his boyhood club. I'd venture to say he'd start at RB with our current squad...

And on us in general:

I'm watching Spurs and they will bum us next week. Lots of movement and attack at pace.

They need to do me a favour and look at who they've played at home and away, didn't they have city, us, united, west ham, liv all at home first half of the season. they should of picked up more points

Lost to West Ham at home, Southampton away, drew with Liverpool home and away.

Beat United, City and Everton at home, us, Leicester and Watford away.

But of course this also conveniently overlooks Chelsea doing the double over them too

Every time I feel myself getting caught up in the Leicester "fairytale" I just read their forums to realise what wankers they are.

http://www.foxestalk.co.uk/forums/topic/100927-premier-league-201516-stuff-it-in-here/page-392

"I see how everyone (pundits) have highlighted the Spurs win rather than us,

I watched both games.

We were awesome, totally in control. Best I have seen us play, organised, compact, confident.

Spurs were ok but just scraped it tbh. Watford held them for most of the game. Chromosome boy was useless (but he's the best striker in the PL surely, right?)

They will lose at man City next weekend. Man City won't roll over twice at home.

as for us ??? who knows! draw"

How the hell did we just "scrape it", we should've won by 3 goals minimum..

I honestly can't wait for them to lose Mahrez and Kante, Vardy will be 30 next season as well which is bad news for a player that relies a lot on pace. Their one season in the sun will make their fans all the more gutted when they return to mid-table next season..

They really are massive w@nkers, this reminds me on the Liverpool season from a couple of years ago, hope they fall at the final hurdle in a similar fashion.
