See, i was on the fence with it as i can see both sides of the argument, however, where MkY started his post with "I disagree" and then presented his reasoning, whereas you call his outlook "idiotic", claim to be significantly experienced (i'm not calling you a liar but Internet, so claims = zero credibility) in this field, insult some more, but never actually explain why you consider him all them names.

As you say you have "significant experience in psychgology", is there no scope whatsoever to view it as attention seeking? Do you, or whichever clinic you work at, take every single "fuck it, gonna kill myself" uttered when the full time whistle goes and we've been tonked seriously? What about the hangovers that make me want to tell everyone i'd rather dig my own eyeballs out with plastic forks? Should that be given 100% credence and, if anyone laughs, suggests i'm attention seeking etc, then i should rip into them without a single shred of explanation, other than "I have experience in this shit".

I know someone who stuck a knife in their own arm & leg, screaming they were going to kill themselves - i asked them flat, if you were actually going to do it, why stick it in your arm/leg? Why not straight in the chest or face? Few seconds later, sobs of tears, no, there was no intention to kill themselves, despite all the drama and neighbours and shit getting involved, it was... attention seeking. Attention seeking which (and i'm no amateur psychologist here, but i'm sure we can find one if we dig around enough) could well be both a symptom AND a catalyst for the suicidal thoughts/threats etc.

You can't declare in a forum, in one post, someone's state of mind or the circumstances surrounding it, just as much as you can't confidently claim that the dudes suicide threat was genuine or attention seeking. Now i think about it, any shrink that would dare diagnose that either way without even meeting the guy is probably not that great a shrink. Or has tickets to the match or he's on a promise with the receptionist and needs to cut that consult short.

Dude, wind it back in a bit, have a debate instead of declaring other people idiots off hand, eh?

Anyway, back on topic - I just asked another Woolwich fan what he thought of the results yesterday - i had such an enjoyable conversation with my IT-gooner mate earlier, figured it's a bridge building day.

He stuck two fingers up and blew a raspberry.

Guy's a dick.
I have already edited my post as to avoid this discussion as like you say, an internet forum is not the place to discuss this kind of thing, especially in a topic completely unrelated.

Can someone please remind me when was the last time this massive club won anything big ??

You really have to wonder just how big this lot think they are

I know a lot of Spurs fans and absolutely all of them are just as bothered by us as we are by them, it's hard to describe why, growing up I never really disliked spurs, the dislike only came from meeting so many spurs supporters in my adult life who hated west ham, were overly arrogant and cocky when they won and brushed it off as our cup final when they lost. The p**** thing is hilarious, especially seeing as the west ham fans I know are far more educated than they are.

All Spurs fans I know are bipolar, when they win a few they are the best team in the league, they lose one and they are getting relegated. This team they have now and the manager they have are so consistent that it has made the bipolar supporters only show their cocky optimistic side yet all they can do in that situation is try to ram it down west ham fans' throats, they weren't doing that to their arsenal mates until this weekend now that they have opened up a small gap.

All I have seen on social media is how they are dismissing our game as being difficult, they think they will walk over us and are already looking ahead to arsenal on Saturday, I really hope both us and Arsenal derail them this week. They have an horrendous run in compared to the other clubs and it would be great to see them have their best season in years only to be topped by Leicester
icon_smile.gif

Their tails are up and they're playing some lovely football at the moment. Add to that they've got a realistic shot at being champions.

Heart says a Payet hat trick and a three nothing thrashing.

I'd be happy with a highly disputed penalty six minutes into injury time and Noble to convert and earn us a draw with them going on to miss out on the title by two points.

Head says 1-3 with them dishing out a lesson in how to play "the West Ham Way" and resultant cries for the Two Daves to sell up to a consortium of Oligarchs because we've never had it so bad.

Just the fact that they are obsessing about our supposed obsession, just shows how unintelligent most users of that cock forum are. Comparing tottenham related subjects on here to West Ham related gibberish there, and it's not even close.
Paranoid arse licking schoolboys is probably the most accurate description of that bunch.

They have overperformed this season imo, and player for player we are certainly no worse off. They have been lucky with injuries and their squad players have raised their game with the momentum. Hell even Dembele have risen from the dead, Chadli seems to be hitting his best form and Walker has probably never played better. What they have got though is they are extremely balanced, and crucially got match winners in Kane and Lloris.

I mean, I could have written something about each and everyone of their players, but the hype of Mason (
icon_lol.gif
) and Dele Alli is something else. Yes, he's a good talent, have scored some crackers but blimey, he ain't all that. He gets into good areas and pockets, but his first touch is so inconsistent compared to the heights he's hyped up to. They'll probably ridicule this but I feel quite confident in saying he will never make it further than Jenas / Kieron Dyer level and I bloody hope I'm right too.

On to the game itself, certainly not fearing them, but it's a real shame Lanzini is just back and we have no right back. Looked to me like the pitch was in quite bad condition on saturday, so I suppose it will be who deals with that the best. Certainly a case for starting Carroll if the pitch is bad and Slav thinks they'll be closing us down early, but he is much more effective as a sub. Can see this go either way really, but how good would it be to knock them down a peg or two, wish I could be there.

COYI

ould not give a crap if they win the league. I will be down the pub if they are still in for a shout with all my Spurs fans watching the last day of the season.

What doesn't sound good is the trouble a lot of their fans are planning to cause. No doubt they will blame us while they sit their shouting racism terms towards West Ham fans and starting fights with young children. Talking to a mate who a Liverpool fan and he describe the same they will happily start a fight with a 14 year old kid but go running to the police when someone dares tries to put a stop to it

Never understood the cup final comments. They seem to care more about this game than us

I agree with the posts about our fans getting cocky. A fair few seem to get Liverpool syndrome at times. As for them saying about us caring about them, its like the chicken and the egg. Who cared about who first? Id say most of our fans dislike them because they dislike us.

By the way, which sites do other fans read of ours? Some of their opinions on what they read seem so far away from what the majority on here write.

In a season of very little Spursy moments, it would be the most Spursiest thing ever if for the first time they finish ahead of all the big boys, they lose the league to bloody Leicester.

the Spurs team under Pochettino will go into each of their matches with every confidence of a getting a result.

This confidence stems partly from having conceded fewer goals than anyone else, having scored more goals (jointly with Leicester) than anyone else, having won 6 league matches in a row and being top of the form table by a big margin.

But perhaps the biggest confidence-booster of all is the tremendous team spirit that Pochettino has inspired - no big egos, the disruptive and those who give less than 100% all shipped out. Coupled with excellent fitness levels, this has meant that even from losing positions the players still feel they have every chance of going on to win, not least because many teams can't match the same energy levels over 90 mins and they start to wilt.

That would be a very special thing. When it comes to Tottenham its never enough for them to just fail, you have to make them feel like they are about to win massively and then spoil it at the last possible second. See Champions League/Willian etc for examples.

Tbh any other year if it weren't Utd I'd like Spurs to win it. But you've got to back Leicester now. That's once in a generation at the least what they're doing in the era of money and status quo. Spurs have the name and structure to keep ascending for the future.

Have a soft spot for Spurs. Always tried to do things the right way. They're probably less entertaining now but better for it.

It seems to me that much of the spotlight with respect to the title is going to Leicester City which is great but Spurs are now just 2 points off the top and 3 points clear of the arse. Spurs like Leicester I believe have a real chance to take the title.

My two penny's would be on them winning it

it's Spurs. The perennial legends. I hope Leicester win it but if they don't then I'd love to see Spurs do it. Arsenal and City can feck off.

They've got a pretty tough run in as well.
Lol Spurs are probably bigger legends than Arsenal, they'll likely lose their home game against the gooners too.
They traditionally have been, but this is a very different Spurs side, with a different manager, different key players etc.

Spurs are probably the most tenacious side in the league. Going by that that they should win the league.
I like Ranieri but compared to Pochettino he is like Pompeius compared to Cesar.

The fighting cock. Because it is basically a poorly moderated RAWK in blue and white and provides humour to other supporters looking to use it as confirmation bias that we are all a total bunch of bellends. Which, if you went on the Fighting Cock, you would no doubt entirely agree with.

You know what! The game against them does bother me... Simply because we're challenging for the league title! And a club that has to issue an apology to there supporters when we beat them makes me slightly more nervous than say Swansea at home.

Thats genuinely the reason why I don't like them, because of their utter hatred for us, which doesn't really make sense tbh.

I remember friends saying this to me a few years ago. Your going to smash us as we've got no spirit etc etc.

5-2 I think the eventual score line was. So screw Arsenal fans, they said it on purpose.
100% this. their poor me attitude has been a constant for the last 5-10 years. Every derby is the same. Then when\If they lose they can say well i said we would. And if they win it makes it seem like it was against all the odds and they make even more of it!!!!! They do it all the time. Ignore them. pond life.

I wonder where they get their opinions from - not discounting the possibility that it is entirely made up. My social media, which probably has more Spurs stuff than theirs, is not dismissing the game at all. Quite the opposite, in fact, and every club has supporters who alternate from despair to joy, it's part of being a fan and not exclusive to Spurs.

Maybe they each have one mate who tries to be nice to them and they decide this view applies to all.

Just typical shitters having arguments in their own heads

Tell them to find themselves on this spreadsheet. Assure them they're there, they just have to keep looking… see how long it takes them…

I've never met a Spurs fan who gave a shit about West Ham. I want to beat them on Wednesday but only because I want us to win every game. They're irrelevant.
