ball starts at dm vs celtic, game kicks off at 12 on ss2.

Thanks. Just tuned in, interesting to see how Roberts gets on too, been tearing it up for them recently.

Sadly they're already so dependent on him that they are asking him to ,miss out on the u19s Euros which we could win to help them get through their CL qualifiers. Luckily Ojo could come in but still would love to see Roberts there

roberts missed a wide open goal from about six yards lol.

been so impressed with rangers, they're completely outplaying celtic. ball has been decent, he basically does just do exactly what dier does, not sure if he's mobile enough for the top level though so something poch would have to work on.

Ye saw that. Bad miss, no doubt he'll be written off as rubbish based off it.

It's not an incredibly complicated role but it requires responsibility, I think he would be more than capable.

In other news I've had my academy knowledge mocked on twitter lol the pain

Most Rangers fans say Ball is very good, some say he's complete shite. Weird.

Majority seem to like him though, there will always be thoes who can't see what someone offers.

And carlitasiseeit, witty I know

we had the same with Carrick and i think Modric at the start.
He wont make big runs forward, but works hard breaking up play and winning the ball back

And he is passing is more than decent, sprayed a few passes out wide

He was going absolutely mental at the victory! Haha

Does he miss the final now though? That sucks if so

(PS. should change the thread title to get rid of Oduwa - loan long finished now)

Yep.

I only watched parts of the game, but it seemed to be that Ball played really well. The experience of an old firm derby in a cup semi-final will only help his progression. It'll be interesting to see where he ends up next season. I expect Poch to take a good look at him during pre-season though.

Ball's played his last game for Rangers (at least this season) as they have finished the league programme (winning it obviously) and have only the Scottish Cup Final left, for which Ball is suspended after his yellow card v Celtic in the S/F.

So I suspect Ball is back at Spurs now.....and pointless to change the thread title !

Hope he is still with Rangers. They are in cup final that he has helped them get to. If they win then he should be part of that celebration

Couple of comments on Ball's performance against Celtic from Rangers fanzines

The talk before the match was about who would win the midfield battle. It wasn’t a battle; Halliday, Ball and Holt totally bossed it from the starting whistle, while Scott Brown and Nir Bitton spent the day chasing shadows. Two tackles on Brown, one from Halliday and one from Dom Ball early on set the tone for the game.

On a more positive note, Dominic Ball has made the holding midfield role his own, and he backed that up with an outstanding display in the Old Firm game, where he stood up and countered the challenge of two established international footballers
