Received my couple of tix yesterday. Sitting in row 7.

Just realised we need to come up with a few other players before the game in particular Maghoma as he has been playing last couple years and heard songs about everyone else so needs one.

I went looking to see what they sung for his brother at Wednesday. Nothing was confirmed but I did like

Maghoma my lord
Maghoma
Maghoma my lord you get the idea

I've refined it.

Who is that we adore Maghoma
Gone up for a corner who scored? Maghoma
Try get past him get floored Maghoma
Oh Christian Maghoma

I'm totally behind the 1882 movement, and love both The Fighting Cock Podcast and Rule the Roost as well (who appear to have some sort of weird incestuous relationship with each other. I can't help but picture Lemon Party... o_O)

But that @Flav bloke - he's a right twat ain't he?

;) x

I know I'm not Flav but on a recent podcast, they mentioned the 1882 movement and said that it has been affected by the success of the club in that, since its looking like we'll be in the CL again, it will be very difficult to take a whole block for it, if not impossible. So they said something along the lines of it not happening much at all next year.

Understandable. It may be worth some more youth games being targeted like a few years ago when 1882 first got off the ground. It's difficult for me to sometimes make the midweek games as I work and live in MK but when I made the trip for that Next Gen U-19s game vs Barcelona it was well worth it and was a great evening.

I reckon it will get back on track next year for the youth games, should be really good for the FAYC and some u21 matches.

The players love it, I've heard it first hand from one and KWP has referred to it more than once

If we move to Wembley for a year then there should be enough space at all the games, including PL?

Doubt they'll let 1882 a block at Wembley they aren't at our new stadium. Would be cool too, especially as there won't be a designated end, like Park Lane, it would have its use

I'd be interested to know why 1882 won't have a section in the new stadium ? I've been down for a few 1882 games over the years, the new stadium seems like an absolutely ideal time to allocate an area where they can sing for 90 mins and make sure we are always generating some atmosphere. Exactly like the Green Brigade at Parkhead ( Celtic )

Fans that like to sing will all buy tickets in the single tiered stand, so I don't think 1882 is needed. For smaller games where atmosphere is naturally lacking and we won't sell out i'm sure there will be an 1882 so like minded people can congregate into the same block, but I think the general idea of the single tiered stand is that everyone in there will want to stand and sing.

It's not an 'official' 1882 game by any means, but a few people are heading to Stamford Bridge on Friday night for the PL2 game between Spurs and Chelsea, 7.05pm kick off.

Won't be as many there as last time due to much less notice, but hopefully will still be a decent evening. There is a separate away end, so hopefully have a bit of an atmosphere in there.

Tickets not available on the night, you have to phone the ticket office and buy in advance (0344 844 0102, option 2). £5 per ticket.

Is that the thing we"re supposed to boycott?

Nope - this is the Under 21 league (itself a rebrand of the reserve league), changed to Under 23s (but with nobody that old actually playing anyway) and rebranded. The thing people are boycotting is the Checkatrade Trophy, otherwise known as the EFL Trophy. Not to be confused with the EFL Cup, formerly known as the League Cup amongst around eleventeen other names.
