hoping for a Man C 1-0 win v Arsenal on Sunday unless of course we beat Southampton, though I'm worried the boys heads might be low after tonight, hopefully Poch can find something to pick them up with.

5 if you include Alli

and for 2 of them they will miss the 1st game next season, and that depends on how serious the FA take Dermbele's punishment

It'll be 3 for Dembele. He doesn't have a history of being a dirty shitbag like, I don't know, Costa.

Actually, now that I think about it, since it occurred against Costa, they might award us the 3 points.

eye gouging might be seen as more than violent conduct.

After we finished 5th last season, I really couldn't see how we wouldn't improve this season. We didn't lose any good players; a whole load of younger players were bound to get better, and we made an obviously good signing in Toby. So 9/2 seemed like really good odds to me. At the time, I thought that evens or just a little longer than that would have been about right. If I was a real betting man I might have put more than a tenner on.

£75 in my account now that wasn't there yesterday. Thank you Spurs! Did anyone else have anything on top four?

You were a lot more optimistic Than me:
I thought the hundreds of millions the last year top 4 spent would leave us further behind. And I thought the hundreds of millions liverpool spent would leave us down to atleast 6th.

My only hope was that such a young Squad Could improve and give us back our pride with some good offensive football. Progress - that was all I was looking for.

And They gave me this.... Just love them all, and special mention to our fans who have been amazing all year!

A flurry of new contracts announced this week would really soften the blow...Pochettino, Lamela, Vertonghen, Lloris, Thelwell and Eriksen please.

The title would have been the best conclusion to the season and I'm very pleased we managed to to finish top four. The consolation prize for me will be to finish as high as we can and above Arsenal. City doesn't exactly have a good record against top sides this season and the 2nd leg of the CL game on Wednesday might be a factor into the weekend. Bottom line is, we need one more win.

Much as I agree about City's record v the top 4, at least they will be trying. United may well be a point behind them and they won't want to miss top 4. I just need that win v Southampton to make me happy. I don't want to have to win at Newcastle as that won't be easy.

Probably playing one of the most in form teams in Southampton this weekend, looking full of confidence/goals. I don't even want to speculate who may be missing through injury and suspension but we are going to be a very different team from our usual first choice eleven. Worrying.

Was expecting/hoping a fight for 4th so pretty much 3rd or 2nd is huge. Just one win away from 2nd and above the Arsenal at long long long last!

It would be very amazing to for us in last summer or even the end of the last winter transfer window to believe that we are all now disappointed to JUST finish 2nd or 3rd

City need to kick on and guarantee CL football for next season now, and no qualifying nonsense. Hopefully they'll realise that and go for it. I don't think our men will be put off by Monday's result. There's some real steel there and they'll be looking to take it out on someone, this time in the right way.

I can see Aguero and De Bruyne doing some damage to Arsenal. They'll want to finish 3rd atleast.

Top 4 is obviously in our plans and we are not thinking of anything else but its 1 game at a time and long way to go!
Very encouraging so far though and some hard work, team spirit and unity is paying off.
