I have great banter with one of the managers in the office, who's an Arsenal fan, and the bragging is a fun part of it
And the reason it's such a laugh is because it's essentially ridiculous; we're grown men, yet we're arguing over who's team of young men, dressed in shorts, running around a field kicking a ball, is better

You just know that's how it is going to happen and then the happy clapper brigade will be out in force saying "How can you be disappointed with finishing 3rd?"
Poch said we need to change the mentality of this club, this is where we need to start changing it, stop celebrating mediocrity, you don't win a thing finishing 3rd.
Yes I am happy we will have champions league football but this season will leave a sour taste in my mouth if we can't at the very least maintain our position in the table after challenging for the title for so long.
The players may not think it's important and I have seen Poch come out after the game saying "If we want to be a big club we need to stop thinking about finishing above Arsenal" and whilst he is right that doesn't mean finishing below 2nd is acceptable after this season.
It's going to be MUCH tougher next year and these players need to learn fast that at the top there is very little margin for error and absolutely no room for accepting mediocrity .

I will add that Newcastle will already be relegated. So we will have the added ignonomy of needing just a point against an already relegated club but still lose.
