Based on JJ's hints, the comments from Stobart and the other guys on here who have given ITK, I wouldn't be surprised if his heart is set on us and we've already agreed a fee (verbally at least).

Certainly agreed on salary - which was better than West Ham's offer. This deal has been in the offing as far back as March. Player visited Spurs around that time, too.

Unfortunately, I think if they throw money at Marseille they will get him. We don't tend to go balls out for players and I think that's what might be needed in this case.

The thing is that West Ham throw the money, tell the press, don't get an immediate 'yes' and then go off elsewhere.

They're the bloke at the bar who buys a girl a drink and then expects to move straight in for the shag (whilst shouting 'I think I'm in here' to their mate on the other side of the room). It might work like that in one of Dave's movies, but, in much the same way a girl won't cop off with the first bloke who chats her up (especially if he looks like David Sullivan), then so a club and player isn't going to accept the first bid until it knows what the competition is like.

Anyway, some bright spark on KUMB has come up with the answer on how to broker the Lacazette deal. He said, and I quote:

"Could we do a straight swap Randolph <-> Lacazette? I know Randolph will be at the Euro's, but we are more in need of a striker than a keeper."

Yes, of course you could, and congratulations on spotting the major flaw in that proposal, namely that Randolph is at the Euros. Well done you. :banghead:

Haha, whereas Levy sends his boys over with the scaredy cats my mate really fancies you but he's a bit shy story. He's also loaded you know.. they might add

At five to two when his competitors have already pulled or fallen over in he sneaks, having not bought her a drink all night suggesting her place in a cab she will pay for.

But, the vital question is if that bird is quality she ain't gonna be lingering there for that long is she?

If West Ham's attempts to sign Lacazette are indeed dead (see Lacazette thread), then they'll probably next try and sign Batshuayi. Imagine the scenes if they do all the negotiating and we Willian them.

or vice versa (think sunday, think spurs, think carnage)

He reminds me a lot of a Swansea Wilfried Bony if i'm honest. Not necessarily a bad thing, just what I see when I watch him. I'm not sure he's what we need, personally.

Not sure why you think that. Bony's game is completely reliant on his incredible strength and hold-up play. Batshuayi can hold the ball up well, but he's much more dynamic as he's quick and can take players on.

Just his body shape and hold up style, I see similarities. I agree with what you say but don't forget what a good player Bony was at Swansea.

I think Michy has quicker feet and more pace than Bony though. Bony more of a pure box player.

And in the Dutch league

So far Bony hasn't been able to maintain his performance levels after the step up in class to man city

Who's to say this guy will automatically be able to make the step up to the epl.

So he could be like the son of Lukaku and Bony. That's not disturbing.
Let's see who other Belgians we can compare him with ... to me, he looks like the striker version of Dembele, hard to take the ball off him like with Dembele, but he he shoots better and more often.

Well Bony isn't Belgian so it's more about comparing him to strong musclar guys of African decent

I'd say Dembele has too much cream in the coffee for this debate
