Great news with Bat-man just the type of signing we need.

Not Sure we have had ITK about Kante or have I missed that?

Very simple - by the way, been on the piss all day - response to all:
Bat-sushi - great deal if we get in, earlier the better
Nike - great option: worldwide brand and has the presence to add cachet to us
Emirates - don't care - flew once (when no other option existed - opinion is "meh" - avoid any other time as I do JVC).
Hope that covers it all. Going back to drunkenly abusing my fellow passengers.

Perhaps Nike want to sponsor us because it will drag them up to being a class act.
Seeing as their logo would be on a class team ..
Just a thought !

Batshuayi ITK is cause for optimism. I know nothing about him other than Wiki and YouTube however. Would have loved Lacazette predominantly because I know more about him and he has always looked quality, though perhaps off the boil a little after early promise.
I like the idea of pace up front as I think we've lacked that when playing against teams who shut up shop, with Rose and Walker often providing most of our attacking outlet.

[Edit: took me three attempts to spell his name correctly. One problem, then]

If it is hard for you to spell, just imagine David Pleat trying to pronounce Batshuayi...

He'll probably just call him Allen...

I am so looking forward to Pleat trying to pronounce his name. In fact, that is a huge reason I really want this to happen.

Stats wise, Gueye is second only to Kante in tackles and interceptions.
Slightly skewed stat. You can only build up on tackles and interceptions when your team doesn't have the ball. Any DMs on possession teams won't have the same numbers even if they're better players.

There's rumours that Kante has a£20 million buyout cause.

I'd snap their hand off for him.

Personally think he's the best player of his kind in that position.

Could play with Dier or be Dier's cover if needed. depending on who we're playing.

I still think he's the main reason why Leicester were so successful this season.

Have a horrible inkling he's gonna be a Gooner, mate. Rather concerning, considering he's exactly what they've been lacking since they let Viera go :(

Is the 1 done 4 to go ITK??
I'd be surprised if we sell Carroll, Mason and Bentaleb. 2 maybe, but not all 3.
Mason to Bournemouth we have had ITK on, Carroll maybe.

5 out - Yedlin, Fazio, Carroll, Mason, Chadli.
3 in - Wanyama, dynamic AM/WF, Batshuayi.

Make up the deficit from within, Carter-Vickers, Ball, Winks, Onomah, Harrison.

Give Bentaleb another year, if fit he could really kick on in the CM role as opposed to being shaped into DM.

Dier and Wanyama (Assuming he's the ex Poch player ITK), covering the DM role.
Dembele and Bentaleb covering the more box to box CM role.
Ball and Winks in the background respectively.

Suppose the ex Poch link could be Schneiderlin, but is he the 3rd CB type DM??

Batshuayi I'll be more than happy with assuming the ITK it's nearly done gets over the line. Him and Kane as CF, with Njie/Son as emergency options, gives me a better feeling that we have depth/options than just Kane as CF and Chadli/Njie/Son as emergency. I do wonder if Dembele (Fulham) is still on the radar as backup, or if with Batshuayi (potentially) onboard, the need is less urgent so Harrison will be the backup.

Dont think we will pay out in excess of 20 million just to be back up for dier for that money he would be first choice surely.
