One ITK says "print the shirt", other ITK today says "imminent"...Then why are we discussing Everton's speculative bid on Wanyama, that is so unlikely....

Everton have a lot of money to throw at Wanyama,

Promises to Koeman, New shareholder, Stones on the way out? Hates a Poch pre season

Could push his transfer fee and wages up.

Which could make it less attractive for us

McCarthy anyone?:D

Unbelievably selling Wanyama to us (who also have CL) rather than their recently departed manager could be a better PR move for SCBC. Would just depend on the players will and them not blowing us out of the water.

Poch wanted Schneiderlin but didn't get his man (albeit I'm sure he wasn't promised him).

In a straight fight we'd beat Everton out, but with CL and Poch as well you'd be very surprised if they got him ahead of us

All things being equal. If he goes there it will be for coin, in which case he's not the right attitude fit for the coaching team and dressing room.

Getting Wanyama & Janssen by end of June would be so welcome. It would solve the important problems in squad ahead of preseason.

Wanyama isn't Willian
Everton aren't Chelsea...

Point is this is ITK discussion thread. No reason to debate Wanyama to Everton here...
Agree and final word from me : ever since Wiiliangate I expect many posters won't truly believe until the player's pictured holding the shirt and Stoof makes an appearance !

We're Tottenham. Not a classless lottery winner like City or Chelsea.

Tight squad, homegrown core, commonality of vision, organic growth, patience.

We're in the champions league and we want to stay there (and we're there ahead of schedule).

To do that we have to be realistic of the current strength of the PL - especially with the recent managerial additions - and the spending power throughout the division.

Competition for Kane's position and Mousa's position are ones we just can't get wrong this season.

If either of them are out for any length we MUST have the correct player ready to do the job on a commensurate level for a long period.

And those players will also give us the flexibility to rest them properly and, indeed, be able to challenge them for their positions and a starting spot.

"Tight squad, homegrown core, commonality of vision, organic growth, patience."

That's all great, on the whole. But for Harry and Moussa's positions we need to be very careful we procure correctly now that we're in the CL and have to manage a punishing schedule over all comps and strive to maintain our CL status amidst Liverpool, Chelsea, Manure, City, Arsenal, Leicester(?) all scrambling for four places and everyone else having strengthened and being able to beat anyone if they have a good day.

As good as they are, we can't be blinded by our own principles.

We have to make the odd exception here and there.

SCBC are going to run out of clubs without a recently departed manager at to avoid selling to at this rate!

ghostofarmo on ftl: Ive heard..
Not ground breaking and rumoured anyway but that
Wanyama..will be a spur..
Imminent..lol

Another one not at the euros and so would start a preseason with us (if we sign him by then). I wonder if this is something we have identified in order to try and hit the ground running. Would make a change. Him and Janssen seems like shrewd business (although obviously we will have to wait and see if that is the case).

Jannsen at £12m and what do we expect for Wanyama, £15-20m? Maybe there is a big signing out there, but this seems much more reasonable and Levy-esque than some of the other links.

Grey Fox:

As JJ alluded to the other day, real detail from within the club is becoming really hard my main contact has told me some business could be done by the end of this week possibly two signings, but no names. He simply won't tell me, Levy has been on a bit of a witch hunt about stuff being leaked for about 18 months.

Talking to other sources who are pretty reliable and reading between the lines and this is just me putting 2+2 together I expect Jensen and Wanyama very soon and an AM and Young Keeper before the summer is out.

ITK RIP!

Cheers @Grey Fox

Although not as fun, i'd rather a tight ship and closed mouths than the West Ham board announcing their budget and fucking Jack Sullivan being an 'ITK' puppet for his dad on Twitter.

Interesting stuff, it's obviously a shame for us that we are getting less and less itk, but you can't blame the club for wanting to plug the leaks. Especially in light of what's happened with things like Willian, as well as the days when Sherwood and co were leaking all sorts of disruptive stuff to the press. It sounds like the club are becoming a lot more professional about the way they go about their business, and keeping our cards close to our chest can't really be a bad thing.

Wouldn't suprise me if more and more of our info becomes agent based in the future rather than directly from the club.

Poch is a lot more discreet than Harry and Sherwood so leaks being plugged doesn't surprise me
