I hate the fact west ham have Payet

On the other hand listening to west ham fans saying west ham are one of the best in Europe why would Payet want to leave???

Olympic stadium is a big draw hahahahaha

The only one on that panel that knew what he was watching.. even the commentators.. that must be the first time Kante gave the ball away.. seriously he done it at least 4 times previous.. Glen.. Kante caught wrong side of the ball for the first time... eh no it wasn't..it's just the other times his pace made up for it.. not a dig at Kante.. he's wasted in the holding roll..i t's just limiting the impact he can have playing there..

Tactically I thought Deschamps had a knightmare.. they should of pressed Romania from the first whistle to see if they could handle the pressure, instead they let them have time on the ball, play there way into the game & build confidence.. Deschamps got bailed out by that moment of brilliance by Payet
I thought Kante was fantastic.

he played very well.. I was more commenting on the commentators making stupid incorrect analysis.. his pace got him out of situations & he did do really well for someone that the holding roll is not his natural position.. personally think he is to good box to box to limit him to play there

Got to say I disagree mate, I thought Kante was quietly superb, and exactly what you need in that 433 type system with Pogba and Matuidi either side. Very Makalele-esque. Allows Pogba to play and Matuidi to bomb on.

Can people not bloody read.. where did I dig Kante out.. I was talking about commentators making incorrect statements.. I said he is wasted limited to that role he can offer so much more.. The only things I said was he gave the ball away 4 times b4 commentators made that comment .. Hoddle said it was first time he got caught wrong side of ball.. well no it wasn't..his pace got him out of it.. Matuidi another.. If you can't see that in real time then maybe you can't see a whole field while watching a game.

I never once criticised Kante.. it's not his natural position & he did very well however playing him there is limiting what he really is good at

OK, fair enough, but I still disagree, I think that role suits Kante perfectly, especially with the dynamics of the those around him.

So you think that's making the most of his talents?.. it's not perfectly.. you likened him to Makelele in the role... Makelele was so good positionally in that role all he had to run was 10 yards.. didn't get caught having to play catch up.. could Kante be coached to do the role.. of course he's a top player however anyone that would think he would be of better influence to a team there than box to box need's there head examined.. you got a guy that's brilliant as an all action non stop running box to box..why would you limit what he is exceptional at

Not aiming this at anyone, but bloody hell:

Gary LinekerVerified account‏@GaryLineker
Kanté btw: Most passes made. Most touches of ball. Highest pass completion %. Most tackles made. Most interceptions. Most distance covered
Just proves my point.. why limit someone with the most distance covered to playing as a holding midfielder.. playing that role is not about stats or how far you run.. it's about been disciplined, slowing the vertical attack, if your positioning is right you don't have to run so much

But you have two great (well, one great one very good) box to boxers either side, and Kante's tenacious dynamism is the perfect pivot for those two. I think it's a really well balanced CM3 and it's incredibly harsh comparing Kante's slight errors tonight - in his first competitive game for France - with Makelele's performances in a similar role.

I think they are incredibly similar players, and Makalele was also more than just a simple positionally disciplined player who rarely moved more than 10 yards. He was also a tenaciously dynamic busy **** who could also play football.

yeah he could play football.. he was selfless & knew to give it to the players who could hurt a team.. Positionally Makele was brilliant & that's why he rarely had to run more than 10 yards to intercept or block a passing lane.. Ask yourself what was Kante so good at this year... would you pay whatever it takes for him be that 30 - 40 million & then decide to play him in a position other than what made him so good.. unless your Real Madrid , Barca or Bayern it's ludicrous.. play a player to his strenghts

I love watching Payet play. He's probably one of my favourite non Spurs footballers right now.

That tubby frame and low centre of gravity, his willingness to take people on whenever and wherever, the ability to produce a threaded through ball, or a spectacular curler from the edge of the area............he's fucking quality.
