My worry is that Muller, who looked absolute pony kept him out of the Germany team at the Euro's..

Are we being seduced by his name and reputation?

Give over mate, Muller is absolute quality. The guy plays number 9 and number 10 by himself.

He's been so great that Bayern are letting him go for a loss
Under a manager who he reportedly didn't perform for, he's got a 1/3 goal record... If that's him failing imagine what he could when confident and happy?

I like pjaca too. He really impressed me in the euros.

I diubt he 2ould cost as much as Gotze wmd Pjaca would be able to come on and create something.

I think Gotze would come in expecting to be a starter but who the fuck woukd he replace behind Kane. I dont think Gotze is an impact player. Then again i am of the opinion that you should have about 16 to 18 first team players in the squad i just think he doesnt offer us anything that someone like Erikssen offers.

Have you seen Bayern's squad? Not a single one of our first 11 would displace their first 11..
And i wouldnt say he has been a failure at Bayern either..

At his fittest and strongest Gotze will run with the ball and take people on more than Eriksen. He's not pacey, but he does have a low centre gravity and can drop his shoulder and sell a dummy.

Fuck me, I've been away from a computer since Thursday and this is what I stumble on?

Has the world gone mad? What I think this story shows is we're now being used as bait to up the price for other clubs. Highly doubt gotze happens.

Thats the thing at his fittest and strongest ... woll he out the hard graft in that poch demands? We dont know. He is still young and there is still time to imorove wnd develop etc. Maybe i just think for 20 odd million we can get a couple of very good players who would do the same thing eg Pjaca who may not have achieved the same as Gotze but is on the way up and a bit more exciting.

The way you describe Gotze he seems like a Lamela?

Theirs plenty of room for mario! We may even see alli deployed next to wanyama in the cm2 some games this season. Alli/dier/wanyama/dembele can all rotate those 2 spots seing as most games we will utterly dominate possesion and territory. People worrying over where he fits are being silly.

Dier/wanyama
Alli/dembele

Lamela
Eriksen
Gotze

Kane

Thats the first choice 11 right there depending on opponents. Son/janssen being next in line depending on circumstances. Every game will be massive next year with cl and being able to bring in fresh players if such high quality is what top clubs can do.

Its probably not going to happen - but I can see why it might appeal to Gotze.

I imagine he really wants to be in the German side in Russia 2018. He can see the work Poch has done with a number of players to put them in position to make their national team squad. So, Gotze commits to a couple of years of Poch training to put himself in the best position to make the starting XI.

For Spurs, its a no-brainer. Imagine the competition for spots among Eriksen, Gotze, Alli, Lamela, Son for the AM3 or Alli, Dembele, Bentaleb for the CM2, or Wanyama and Dier for the other CM 2 spot, and Kane and Janssen for the striker role.

The bench could have Janssen, Gotze, Son, Wanyama (or any other combination of players who can come on and make a difference). That is a strong team, and creates lots of options.

Not going to happen but would llove such a quality player.

Incidentally if judging players on Euro 2016 alone then Kane, Ali, Ibra, Ronaldo, Bale etc., etc are useless

Minor point but Bale was one of the best players in the tournament
