A lot of school playing fields have been sold off I thought.
Im gonna forewarn everyone now... im gonna be so annoying with my incessant questions formthe next two years. Im so excited yet intrigued.
What is meant by a pour?
It is when they lay down a slab of concrete. After all the rebar and post tension cables have been laid. Like in this photo.

Oh i see... so im presuming that is the foundation to build on rather than work on the ground floor/basement area?

That is the ground floor. So the basement has already been poured underneath that floor. The corner you can see being poured will be on the level most punters can't go to. Media facilities, etc. That photo I took is already out of date though, and the floor above it is now being poured as well.

Pretty painful to see but all well well worth it in the longrun. Its all progressing so very fast now. The change in a year has been incredible considering the groundwords tend to be tediously time consuming!
Does anybody have any idea roughly when we shall actually see the main structure starting to go up? So im talking about the ground upwards stracture of the main stadium?
Perhaps the end of this year?

I know this just re-iterates the above, but I think it's easy to forget that sticking some bolts through some girders isn't that difficult and can rise out of the ground quickly. However, putting in wiring, which is barely visible, or plastering or attaching the cladding is actually quite fiddly work and for each minute or hour spent the visibility of any change or progress will be far less. I am sure by the end of the season we will have something which is fairly recognisable as a stadium (or 3/4 of one) and the following year will be spent doing a huge amount of the less visible stuff.Worth repeating what @davidmatzdorf has said before in this thread, which is the main structure will go up relatively quickly, its the fit out inside which will take time.
So expect to see relatively rapid progress between now and start of the season on main structure going up when there is no downtime to deal with matches.
