If the bollocks that went on in the previous thread carries on then I will have no choice but to banish thee, leaving you with no place to post but with the peasants in Spurs Chat.

From a friend (trustworthy), involved with Joe Lewis and ENIC:

A deal to sell Spurs is currently being brokered.

Source says it's happening because he's brokering the deal on behalf of a third party. He told me no more. Will PM A&C more details if need be.

Hope/assume it'll only get done after the stadium is complete. Uncertainty is the last thing we need in this transition period.

Also praying it's not some uber rich oligarchs or anything - I like they way we're re run.

There is no reason to assume that JL selling his stake means that Levy will sell his and resign as Chairman.

IIRC Levy has a direct stake in ENIC, something like 25%. It could simply be that EnIC splits away from Tavistock with Lewis selling his majority ownership.

Shareholders will have to be notified of any serious interest just as with cain hoy.

Probably a long way to go yet.

Wonder how serious it is, or if its just an enquiry..

Anyone here still holding onto any THFC stock?

I have some. I was contacted last year on behalf of Cain Hoy who were looking to buy up small blocks. Have not heard anything in recent times.

Despite my complaints about not taking more of a gamble in the transfer market I like the way we're run, and I think levy is the best chairmen in the PL and I would hope that whoever took over had the brains to keep levy in charge

Not disputing your info mate, but would be amazed if our ownership changed hands before the new stadium is complete. Always had the feeling that one of the main reasons our current owners wanted to build the new stadium was so they could get a better fee when they decide to sale.

What's the difference if the structure and finance is in place for the stadium?

Yes, I agree, seems unlikely. Perhaps deals are agreed / arranged however completion may well be ages away, or perhaps will come into effect post-stadium.
Despite what I've heard, I think the club's likely to be sold after the new stadium's complete and would find it hard to imagine Levy not wanting to be at the helm for our home debut in the new stadium, that really has been his baby for 12 or so years

There's nothing to say that the new owners wouldn't want to keep Levy on as chairman though - he's got unrivalled experience - at least on a transition basis.
