I've got angelic Levy on one shoulder and demon Levy on the other. Argh, fuck it, I'm throwing salt in both of their faces!

This one is coming across as different from some of the other near misses of the past.

In those cases it was mostly always the fees/terms of contract/issues between Levy and the other club and agent in negotiations that were blamed for the them not going through.

With Isco it seems to be boiling down to us persuading him to come. Madrid sound like they want it. We do as well of course. That removes a lot of the apparent walls that get thrown up during transfer negotiations involving us and other clubs/bug players.

Obviously I'm not saying it will happen, but the prevailing winds of this transfer attempt are altogether different from the likes of Moutinho, wheelbarrow in Spain day etc etc where we never appeared to move past the issue of transfer fee, agent bonuses, clubs willingness to sell.

Levy certainly has a hard on for this player. We were linked during his tenure at Malaga, before he went to Madrid. Reminds me of how we were linked with Son when he was at Hamburg, then down the line dived in and paid up for him at Bayer. Another player Levy clearly had a hard on for most likely due to a combination of his apparent potential, allied with the potential PR benefits associated with signing a big Asian star.

Surely Isco can see how much we want him here? Poch wouldn't do that normally I presume. That would show me I would feel wanted and loved by Poch.

Just come Isco and let's all have a disco!

Isco, Wanyama, Janssen and GKN is a fantastic window on the whole.

Considering the amount of money we have gained from sales, the holes addressed and the openings we have created for some young players to come through; you'd have to look at it as a huge success.

If we don't sign Isco, though. The club should be knocked down to the studs and accepts it's fate as relegation fodder.

If today's thread has got to about 50 pages, imagine what tomorrow's thread will get to.

I think there is some merit to this, but also just worry stuff like agents fees hasn't come up yet!
