Is there any definite answer as to how much Sissoko actually cost?
I know it's not that important etc, just love to know if Danny Boy tried it on after Everton withdrew their bid.
Keep reading £30m but didn't Newcastle announce it as 'undisclosed' ?
Reports from the Evening Standard in the Sissoko thread saying its £6m a year for the next 5 years based on him staying at the club, but there must be some sell on clause should he leave eariler otherwise its fairly mad of Newcastle.

Turns out there is further comedy value to the Sissoko 'hijacking'.

As others have mentioned, the new Everton chairman put out an embarrassing statement about them pulling out of Sissoko due to Everton being a family, and not wanting to let James McCarthy go.

Well it turns out Palace had been working all day on signing McCarthy, and Parish was actually on the radio again when the call came through that we got Sissoko and the deal was dead, unlucky!

Another TDD, another chairman with Levy on their shit-list :ROFLMAO:

It'll be curious to see what direction we go in January. Jesus Christ, the window isn't even over for 24 hours and I'm already looking to the next one. I'm such a junkie.

Double wammy for the Palace chairman then since Levy had been low balling him and unsettling Zaha last few days!

Poch after signing Wanyama and Jansen wanted to bring a quick wing forward, ACM and another CM, to give the squad more depth and options, he believes some of the reasons we failed last year to win the LG, was the poor quality once we had to bring in some of the squad players and the lack of plan B and C as too many players offered us anything else.

Where does our interest in Zaha feature in this then as I thought we had 99% wrapped up GKN (the quick wing forward) when we started going after Zaha. Or did we try for Zaha as a back up to the GKN deal?

I'm still not convinced our interest in Zaha was legit, we have dealt with his agency quite a bit in the past (Harry Kane, Andros Townsend amongst others) so I'd imagine Levy's on pretty good terms with them.
On Sunday Supplement (I know, I know) one of the journos was suggesting it could be a favour to get Zaha a new deal, and with Benteke and Townsend brought in on over double what Zahas on, I don't think it's out of the question.

At least 10 clubs in Europe will bid for Coric in January, I think we'll show interest but I'm not sure if we'll spend 20m+ on him with some decent midfileders in the academy already (and he will probably want some to have a real chance at being in first 11).

They may be "decent" but they are not Coric decent.

I'm not sure about that. Edwards has more potential but he is younger and not that good right now. Onomah and Winks are around his level, both players would star in HNL.

If Eriksen doesn't buck his ideas up Coric will be his replacement. We had ITK recently stating although Eriksen's signing/signed a new contract they think he'll be gone next summer.
