Football weekly podcast this week, quote from Rafa Honigstein

" Levy has a reputation in Germany for loving the art of negotiation to the point that he may just be negotiating for the sake of enjoying having a good negotiation. Notorious for coming up with inventive and varied clauses that nobodies seen before. In Germany, his tenacity is regarded with a sense of endearment but I'm not quite sure those feelings are shared in the Premiership"

LOL. Not strictly ITK but thought it seemed to fit in here.

Do you think Levy gets Donna Cullen to read out the minutes of past negotiations while he cracks one off?

I took a day off SC yesterday after being glued to it for a week! Levy saved this window in the final hours bringing in a player who is direct and has a pace. Still think we need to be a little mor ambitious in future and we cannot pay lower wages than other prem teams forever! I guess the new stadium and increased revenue will help with this.

Thanks to all for making this a great forum, the itk, the meltdowns, the periods of jubilation and the funny comments. I may try and stick around this year!

So you must have missed the news that Isco signed just after midnight

Reports from the Evening Standard in the Sissoko thread saying its £6m a year for the next 5 years based on him staying at the club, but there must be some sell on clause should he leave eariler otherwise its fairly mad of Newcastle.
Just because we sold him we wouldn't stop paying? We've signed up to pay Newcastle 6m a year for 5 years. Regardless of what happens with the player now, that is what we've agreed. Sissoko could be sold in Jan for 1m, we'd still pay 6m a year for 5 years.

I'm pretty sure Levy would also be negotiating sales to clubs in Germany and slinging santas in all over the place there as well.

And there goes my last post of this summers transfer forums :woot:
