Started reading that thinking sarcastically how well the author has done to 'unearth' these players but to be fair there are a few in the top 20 I've never heard of and his analysis of Alli is brief but to the point

Next gerard? Very poor comparison imo. If he is to play in the n10 position more often he needs to really work on turning with the ball and that first touch which seems predictable right now. Hes got a frustrating knack of turning into defenders and veing predictable in that sense. A top quality young player though.

Just to add....Vdv was epic on the turn and with hus back to goal!! God i miss him still:cry:

Those who call for him to be subbed every match thread because he is playing shit should get this printed out and stuck to their wall.

FourFourTwo said:
Alli influences games in short, sharp doses. Rather than being a stable attacking presence, his best moments tend to appear from nowhere. He can be anonymous, but then with a flash of those feet or one of those instinctive late runs, he can change a game's texture in a heartbeat. His balletic goal against Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park, for instance, was an unlikely exclamation point in a thoroughly unremarkable performance. That is the Alli calling card, though, and the precious trait of a match-winner.

The amount of quality players Man City have coming through is nuts. The difference between them and Chelsea loaning players. Man Citys will possibly make it to the first team whereas Chelsea do it for money alone.

Love the boy
but this is all part of the ridiculous over-hyping.
A lot of his forward runs go unseen
but he does the unexpected.Often.
Any more of this and Real Madrid or someone
will be offering 100 million for him.
Quite a lot of people would take it
some on here.
Essential to the Spurs vibe at a crucial time
for the team's development.
I wonder if the money will turn his head sooner rather than later.
Hope not

He's a big reason why we were title contenders last year & unbeaten this. I'm not sure a lot of people realise how special he is, especially for his age.
We miss him when he's not there, says so much.

Would have gone with rashford

Alli needs to improve a fair few areas of his game imo.
Dele >>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Rashford for me.

I'm not sure if Dele deserves to be at No. 1 on that list, but I'd take him over Rashford every day of the week. He's got far more to his game imo.

Alli is the most exciting player we have had at Spurs in years. His potential is unbelievable.

He runs in behind
He scores from everywhere
He has an immense amount of skill
He's confident
He could play anywhere on the pitch
He has amazing fitness
He knows the dirty side
He has a bit of bite

Possibly the most complete midfielder in the world. His value now should be astronomical. At 19 he is great... In a few years we may be getting out the Zidane and Gazza references.

He should be scoring at least 15 goals this season with his talent. What other 19 year old midfielder can you say that about.

He reminds me a bit of Scholes in his younger days.

Not that I am overhyping him or anything.
