Can anyone see what made United pay a world record fee for Pogba?
Not yet, no.

I saw someone tweet that he needs to play where he feels most comfortable - like against Pescara and Sassuolo.

He hasn't adapted very well yet, but Utd's team is a shambles. Expensive collection of confused star names and cloggers.

We have to confront the possibility that people like everything about football except watching it.

(Especially when Sky's hype machine ignores everything on a Saturday and a Sunday and then this happens...)

They've been hyping it up for a fortnight trying to kid people into thinking it's still a relevant fixture. The very fact that they have to resort to West Ham levels of publicity proves it. The biggest games don't need hype.

Boxing/UFC/WWE marketing tactics.

You're right, it shouldn't need it. Spurs/City was the best game i've seen all season - bit biased, I know... - but this is easily the worst. It's the equivalent of Mayweather/Pacquiao.

Rooney will score the winner here. Mourinho is great at spotting an opportunity like this,

Boro v Watford yesterday was more entertaining than this.

500M pounds and your assembled talent can't dominate a game beyond 34% possession in a 'big' game. shite.

Sounds like Italy then!

from a fan: I don't really know why Sky love Jose Mourinho so much when he's responsible for ruining most of their showpiece fixtures.

Just looked at Twitter. FFS FOOTBALL ISN'T ALWAYS EXCITING. SOME GAMES ARE BORING. THAT'S WHY EXCITING ONES STAND OUT. Jeez.

from another fan:
I think most people have seen the relentless hype from sky and was expecting a better game as a consequence

from our mate Lyall:
In what world do Sky have any impact on what happens on the field? Role is to get ppl excited and watching. Success on both counts.

no wonder the viewing figures are so far down. Hype to the point where the product can't deliver. 'Success', but it's fading as people move away from Sky.
