Was he playing before he got injured? I think not. He's injured.

And that is your right to disagree mate but dele alli was through one on one with foster it was a poor finish than a good save.
Think we have to stop making excuses for keepers had a worldie or that one of our players had a bad game because of the syrian crisis etc.
We are struggling for goals because we are not clinical enough and too predictable in the approach play, other teams have our number now.
On the liverpool thing they know how to find the net because they move and attack with speed, however their defence is mid table standard where as ours is a title winning one but our forward looks like its not imo.
Spurs at 5th on the table. Invincible 5th.
A worldie? Im sorry but alli being predictable and trying to pass it into the goal at a good height and shaping his body to go into that specific corner is a poor finish.
Even the erikssen shot was a 20 yard shot low... it was a good attempt but a save that a keeper would normally make.
I wouldnt consider them worldies. We always harp on about keepers having worldies against us and yeah there is no denying they make good saves against us but in all honesty we arent clinical regardless,
Up to Poch to make sure motivation levels, collectively, are up for every single game.
It was obvious he roasted them at HT, although Bournemouth did tire as well.
But had we started the game like that we probably woud of won, at the very least we should of handled their press better
That's something Poch needs to work on more I think, how to handle the game better when teams press us high and hard..
Doesn't help when you spunk £30m on a wrecking ball, when what you need is a safe cracker.
Don't get me wrong Shelf, I don't disagree with you on the whole, I just disagree for that particular game. Against us Foster was flawless, against the Scouse he wasn't at the same level. Small margins and all that.
But yes, on the whole, our finishing is definitely our Achilles heel and will cost us in the long run if it doesn't improve. That's not just the shot at goal either, but little things like the weight of pass to allow a first time strike or driving the ball across goal BEHIND defenders so they risk putting it into their own net with an interception. We cut the ball back too often into poor areas, allowing a swinging leg to clear. It takes pressure off defenders when we should be ramping it up. They're not all going to work but you apply enough pressure and cracks appear. The City game proved that.
Fair enough, "Worldie" is a bit of an exaggeration, he had a cracking game that he didn't repeat against Liverpool, fair enough?
As I said, pool's finishing was no better than ours, Coutinho's shot was about 2 feet from Foster. Granted he saw it late but he had the same time to react as he did with Alli's.
As I said to Shelfy, small margins but telling.
It was better than ours tho... they scored twice. We scored once even though we created enough opportunities to score two or three.
Theyve scored 20 we scored 13 even though we create as many opportunities if not more which says a fair bit about our finishing overall.
Our goal differences are the same though. So it says as much about our defence as it does about our finishing at the same time

The point is fair though, if we converted as much as we should we'd have daylight between us and the rest..
True and agreed but we are talking about our finishing... also and whilst the defence is important the best our defence will get is a draw... 38 draws is relegation haha.
I think we actually stood up to it well yesterday, when teams fly out like that it's not easy, in those phases it's important to compete for the inches, which we did pretty well I think, they wore themselves out and out passers and possession game gradually took over.
