There is no option for them to buy in the loan option, just a season long loan:)
How do you know? All the French media outlets were unanimous in saying there was a €7m option to buy. Just because we didn't officially release that information, it doesn't mean it isn't there.

And even if there isn't an option, if Poch loans you out, you've almost certainly got no future at the club.

Depending on the terms of the loan, obligatory signing clause etc, be interesting to see what happens if he has a very good season

Was part of the squad which won the ACN last night. He didn't play and I'm not sure how much he played in the tournament, or if he played at all.

Started the first two group games (hooked at half-time in the second) and then was on the bench for the rest of the tournament.

How has this loan spell gone haven't really followed it? I thought he looked more dangerous than sissoko in our time with us. Also lacking in technique but with a lot more explosive pace.

fairly well. payet's taken his position out on the left but he's now moved to #9, scored at the weekend too.

I wonder if he's done well enough to make it back to us?
He's netted four times and also bagged an assist

Not tearing it up as such but shown he is a goal threat (I wonder what his chance creation numbers have been)

If I had to bet I'd say he won't play for us again and will either be sold or loaned out again (Fazio style)

I suppose a lot will rest on what Poch thought of him in the first place - if he saw potential and had an eye on his loan as being a way to get his match fitness and confidence up then I suppose there's a chance. I think more likely he wanted him sold but we couldn't find a buyer so settled for a loan while bringing in NKD

I wouldn't be at all surprised if both of them were no longer with us come next season personally

Yeah makes sense, as you said 4 goals and assist is fairly mediocre. I thought he showed a lot more than Sissoko and if it was a straight choice I'd take N'jie any day...

NKD is showing promise I think he just needs game time to mature with us.

You say that like it's a major achievement.

Andy Sinton achieved more than Sissoko ;)

I actually thought N'Jie looked a decent prospect he just got injured at a bad time. I think Poch must of seen different in training.

I think the style we play of keeping possession and pressing for mistakes requires players that keep the ball and are economical with their risk taking. This doesn't really suit players like N'Jie and I think that's Poch struggles with the risk/reward sometimes. I wouldn't swap Poch for any other manager and I think he will develop that, but it does lead to stale period of play.
