Unbelievable, we have a quality player that rotates really well with Rose and you want him replaced. I swear some of you think this is champ manager or something. Who thats as good would want to come knowing Rose is here. As for getting someone like Sessignon in to replace him in Jan, what happens when Rose is out, do you really think a 16 year old will be ready to step in.

You lot will finish his career after a few mistakes.....
Maybe the player wants to leave and get more game time??

Sell and replace with better suited competition for Rose (who is now too far ahead of Davies for Davies to be adequate competition).

If we continue playing 3 at back he is not necessarily competimg with Rose but Verts for lcb - a position he plays very well with Wales.

Which player better than Davies would want to come to us when we have probably the best left-back in the league right now?

I think Davies is a good player, however, I don't think he is potentially right for our system. The way we are moving looks as though we want powerful, pacey wing-back types who can bomb down the channels all day. I feel that Davies struggles to do that effectively, same with Trippier.

I wouldn't be looking to flog either in a hurry, however if the right player came along with the right skill set for the right price, would certainly consider it!!

This literally made me laugh out snot. Who on earth do you think we could get that's of the standard you think is required, (which seems to be close to that of Rose) who will sit about on his arse pretty much every week?

Don't get the logic. Rose has improved to where he is with Davies at the club so it isn't even competition he needs, Davies is perfectly capable of filling in as and when required. Even though eventually he'll want to move on for more game time.

Stop snorting industrial solvent :p

Why not use Walker-Peters as Rose's understudy? Can't he play in both full back positions?

Don't like the idea of letting Davies go to Palace. Why should we strengthen a direct rival???

I know he's highly rated on this forum and by other youth watchers, but a lot of the evidence from the last 12-18 months seems to suggest that Pochettino and the rest of the staff don't rate him as highly as others. Even the likes of Walkes was included in the pre-season tour and the League Cup squad before him. He was also happy to send him out on loan to Roda last season before WP turned it down.

Honestly if he is moving on, we should look at Jordan Amavi - very highly rated pre-Villa move. More of a Poch full back.

The only reason he will leave is for first team football. But I would rather keep him. Reliable player, important member of the team.

We're not going to let him go in January when we're still in with a chance of CL through the top four or the Europa.

Also, seeing as Palace are lurking around the relegation places, I wouldn't expect Davies to want to go until the summer when he can plan his future more effectively.

Palace are hardly likely to offer silly money that we can't refuse for him so I'd be very surprised to see this happen.
