An Espanyol man proper.. Doubt he will go barca.. If any, it is Real I'm more worried..
Real change there managers every season. No respecting manager like poch would go there. Would have to change his whole philosophy. Not build a club, not use youth. Just buy stars and be forced to play them. Barca are another animal

What about when he left Esponal or whatever other managerial jobs he has had?

I'm just interested due to China man's statement about poch being a man of honour

I know Wenger is famed for always seeing out any contract he ever signs and never breaking it

Has Poch done that? I'm assuming from your post that he was still contracted to Southampton when he came to us

I'm not sure how confident I would be about him wanting to stay if Barca made a serious move for him

I suppose it would depend how invested he is in our project vs how ambitious he is to manage at the top level at a club like Barca

I don't know if he's even on the radar of clubs like Barca but if he is my gut instinct would say he'd probably be very interested in the job

He is. Everyone can relax. ;)

Why cant barca and madrid just fuck off
This could be the 'perfect storm' ( as in the opposite of perfect!) for us if it happened . I still think top 4 is a big ask and next season could be extremely dodgy with the Wembley thing. It would immediately put massive doubt on all our key players futures. He is the key to keeping everything going forward to the new stadium. The 2 Spanish giants are the only 2 rumours that concern me about Poch( and all his backroom staff).

You said it would be like Hoddle managing Arsenal. Well yes and Hoddle would take that job. As poch may well take Barca one day

I didn't say either events weren't going to happen I Just drew a comparison. o_O

Where would he go? At the biggest club in the world in the biggest league winning trophy
He made it the biggest club in the world. His first few years were barren weren't they? After the world saw what he could generate at a club I'm sure Barca and Real must have been interested.

Yes but was it in his favour to move? Knowing he had to learn a new language, different couldn't different ethos. Sacked if you don't win straight away. That's like saying giggs was loyal. Giggs was at the biggest and best club is whole career

Title challengers for many years in his prime. But he's as close as you get to a loyal player

Not really, he had a chance to move to sone of Europe's biggest clubs for more money but he chose to stay at his boyhood team.

Let's not try to move the goalposts of your argument.

Can't see how just because Madrid doesn't fit his philosophy that he wouldn't be interested in going there it's Madrid biggest team in world football with reputation and resources.
Having said that I believe he will stick around for a while longer and bag a few trophies including that league title.

I don't think learning a new language has stopped managers moving to Barca or Real before lol

He was a loyal manager.

Giggs example is not comparable.

They do have a reputation, a reputation for sacking managers as soon as their hanky waving fanbase demands it.

I still think there is the potential for Poch to match his ambitions with us if we can hold this squad together and create a proper legacy like Fergie, Wenger or even Klopp did at Dortmund.

If I was a manager that would be of more interest to me than a couple of seasons at Madrid before getting fired because you don't win every trophy available.
