Good to see the club taking my reccomendation wearing a Mason 8 shirt tomorrow for warm ups. Very nice gesture. Hope Ryan gets better soon!

Hope the fans do a minutes applause too tomorrow at the 8th minute
Heard there was something planned for the 38th minute as that was his original squad number. No reason not to do both.

its a nice move of the club for the players to warm up in his shirts, and would be a good thing to chant his name maybe before kick off. I love Mase as a proper Spurs boy but dont agree with anything else like clapping during the game etc, he isnt dead, hopefully he will be playing again and he doesnt play for us anymore

What happened?

Micky Hazard and Alan Gilzean were the half time guests, Micky said he was visiting Ryan in hospital next week as they're still close (it was Micky who first discovered Ryan and brought him to Spurs), so he got the whole ground to chant 'Ryan Mason, he's one of our own' and filmed it on his phone to take to show Ryan.

That's brilliant. Micky Hazard seems like a really nice guy.

Good to hear he's been discharged. Hope everything works out for him and he's back on the pitch soon

I think that interview really emphasizes how difficult it's going to be for him to come back. I know Cech managed it but Goalkeepers are a little more protected than combative midfielders.

He is a brave lad and has made big steps since it happened but I can't see him playing a match this side of 2018.

The bit about Cech reaching out made me smile. Anyone who's had to be laid up for anything serious will relate to how frustrating people who say, "well, if there's anything i can do..." can be, knowing full well there is nothing they can do, then someone comes along who gets it and it just takes so much weight off your mental state having someone to bounce stuff off of who can tell you, "no, that's normal, don't worry about it". Manpoints for Cech. (y)

Onwards and upwards, Iron Mason.
