That's not terribly unusual for gay men in the public eye; it's an arrangement that works well for both parties.
It's 2017 mate. I appreciate football is a bit backwards. But if this is still something that happens we (read:football and those involved in it) should be ashamed.

Agree with your views on Lamela. But just had to stop you on this one point. Alli would get into every team in this league. He's possibly the most valuable asset in the entire league.
No, he wouldn't. He's not better than De Bruyne or Silva, he's not better than Ozil.

IMO, he would get in Arsenal's side ahead of either Walcott or Iwobi and in Chelsea's ahead of Pedro or Willian. I wouldn't be surprised if he would have displaced Silva this season either.

Yeah, but Alli is not a winger.
"He wouldn't get into their team." Hypothetical scenario - Arsenal own Alli. Do you think they wouldn't start him? Of course they would; he'd play every bloody game! Same with City. It's way too simplistic to just look at it and say oh these are the players they play centrally, they're really good, therefore he can't play. He played from the left for us plenty last season.

This thread is the fucking worst. People speculating on drugs, his sexuality. Disgraceful. For fucks sake, get a hold on your hatred, people. Absolutely unbelievable. If you cant stop yourselves from speculating wildly and peddling likely false narratives, then stop posting.

If Lamela doesn't want the true nature of his absence revealed to the public, be it hip, drugs, "chi imbalance", depression, or arse related, then he probably has a legal right that his medical or FA disciplinary records are kept confidential.
And he is rich enough to enforce his rights, so there isn't much point reporters pressing MP for info - he isn't allowed to say,
Possibly that was all Grey Fox meant.

Look I like the lad and appreciate the effort he puts in. But he missed almost a whole season when he got here, with an "injury" which was basically that he was mentally shot and being taken out of the firing line, and now he's going to miss the whole of this one, again with questions as to whether it's not really a physical problem.
That is categorically incorrect and incredibly disrespectful.

It was well documented that he was injured in his first season here. Unless you've got a quality source to back up the fact that he wasn't and was 'mentally shot' and just 'being taken out of the firing line' that is a seriously garbage post.

And the only questions this time are from idiots on here who feel they have to make up ridiculous conspiracy theories when they get pathetically upset that they don't get all the information about an injury to which they feel they are bizarrely entitled by virtue of simply being a fan. It's just fucking nonsense.

ERIK LAMELA
Left hip injury

Erik is making progress and is now working on the field. No date is yet confirmed for a return to full training and his recovery continues to be monitored.

So all in all, still pretty vague about Erik - bad news about Danny, was hoping he might not be out quite as long as this.
What?! He's injured?! Surely not!

Here I was convinced that he was absent because he's secretly gay, or because he's failed a drug test, or even worse, he's become a Scientologist or worst of all he's become a devotee of that uber dickhead Milo Yiannopolous. It doesn't matter that there is not the slightest bit of evidence to support any of those things. People have posted it!

But a hip injury? Pfft, fake news. That's far too consistent with every scrap of communication from Pochettino, the club, or Lamela's social media accounts since he's been absent to be true. Surely it must be a cover for something else.

Pretty sure everyone said it was a back injury, not really a 'mystery' and nobody's said anything to the contrary.

Who gives a flying fuck if he wouldn't get into their teams. Neither would Alli.

And he's not just rated by a 'fanboy club' on here. The majority of Spurs fans rate him from my experience.

In a world where a 27-year old Moussa Sissoko costs £30million, Lamela does not cost £20million.
.

You come across in most of your posts as a reasonable balanced poster. Lets engage and leave the vulgarity where it belongs (y).

1. Alli would get in all of those sides. Make Alli available to any of them for £ 30 million. They would bite your hand off.
2. Make Lamela available for £30 million and the result is not the same....
3. Lamela has not lived up to his price and we should never have gone that high. That i accept has been discussed to death, so no need to rehash that.
4. Sissoko in my books is worth only £15 million at best.......not sure we would be as stupid to have paid the quoted sum.

The majority of supporters rate Kane,Rose(now),Walker,Alli,Alderwerield.Veryonghen,Eriksen, Wanyama perhaps. but to say Lamela is rated by the majority is laughable. He has his cult following, just read through this thread and he has his detractors too. Say one negative and its tantamount to blasphemy.

For me he is ok. He can be infuriating as he dithers with the ball at his feet most times. He did improve over the 3 years for sure. His qualities have been missed in games like the one against sunderland and Boro. But in the main we have done just fine without him.

We would be lucky if we got back £20 million unless of course Roma would give us £30 million.

If his injury were a cover-up of a suspension for the purpose of preserving his reputation and transfer value, it would be very odd for Poch to be calling his mentality into question in the media. It would simply be a matter of saying he's had setbacks, etc.

That being said this whole saga has been bizarre. As long as we're wildly speculating, I'd hazard a guess that his initial hip issue was reminiscent of the injury which wrecked his first season with us, causing him to be quite reluctant to simply "work through the pain." Poch meanwhile, having been told by the medical staff that there is no structural problem, has grown tired of Lamela's attitude toward the situation. Hopefully there's nothing more to it than that.

What Lamela conspiracy theory will SC conjure up next???

Drugs and homosexuality are both already done...how about Erik is actually the damn antichrist and has been too busy summoning up his cronies from hell. Guess this explains Trump. All makes sense now.
Especially when you add in the fact that he is actually an Alien!

Disagreed until I realised you meant Alli. Thought you meant Lamella.
That'll teach me to read threads backwards
