Just a heads up, but I've noticed that Stan James is the only bookie to give 1/4 odds on their E/W Cheltenham bets ( everyone else is 1/5).

Luckily for me Stan James is one of the few bookmakers that I haven't got an account with, so I think I shall be joining and taking advantage of not only their better E/W odds, but their new customer free bet offer.

Anyone got any experience with Stan James? Or should I stay well clear?

Decided to get some practice in for Cheltenham

3.00 Sandown - William H Bonney
3.15 Wolverhampton - Keystroke
6.15 Chelmsford - Fleckerl
4.30 Ayr - Lochnell

Fiver e/w = £2183

There goes a tenner I'll never see again

Edit: Cheers for the heads up A&C. Originally had Aintree My Dream on my acca but switched for Fleckerl.

Fleckerl is running on the AW at Chelmsford tonight. I've been following that one.

Don't understand why Mullins / Ricci running VVM and Limini in the Mares and no one in the Champion, doesn't make sense

Yeah me too. The only thing I got was Altior as the first part of an Acca ( which is hardly surprising) and a poxy £4 back from an E/W Yankee I did.

Still, I have a £10 free bet to use from Skybet, so I have to decide where I can piss that up the wall :D.

I did have Apple's Jade coming in for me but didn't net me much - definitely Bookies 1 Punters 0 after the first day.

I'm actually kicking myself I didn't try to claw back some money on the tricast for that race. It was obvious it was going to be those three, but I didn't want to chase my losses. Gamblers hindsight is a wonderful thing.

I think Regal Encore is worth a little e/w just because R. Power is riding like a man possessed at the moment

On Skybet Tawaaflq is (currently) 7/2 to win the 2.30 at Lingfield today but for some strange reason he's a massive 5/1 in the insured bet market, so not only do you get a bigger price if he wins but also if he finishes second you get your stake returned.

Fair enough it's not a nailed on winner but it must be a decent value gamble.
