Well done Stonecold

Awful week for me, lost over £1000

Fucking hell. I lost about £60 and I thought that was a bad week. I can only assume you're quite a wealthy bloke or you have an enormous betting account cash surplus.

I save for Cheltenham, had about £400 on antepost bets ( had 100 Altior - Douvan double at 8/1 back in August) and was chasing a bit during the week

Only backed 2:winners all week, not good

Had a great day at Chelts yesterday - absolutely packed to the rafters. Got on board with Defi and Sizing John so a good day betting wise too.

Congrats to Stonecold on the victory and Houd's and Cosmic as per.

Until next time folks!

I only had two winners as well, but they were both part of multiples that went wrong. One of those weeks where every favourite I opposed came in and vice versa.

Managed to get a little bit back E/W on Minella Rocco in the Gold Cup otherwise it could have been even worse. Although looking at the race I was a bit gutted it didn't win, as I reckon if he hadn't got hampered towards the back he may well have won. Just couldn't get a good enough position until it was too late.

Even though this Cheltenham went really badly for me I have to say I thought the quality of races over the 4 days was great. I can't remember any race that was just a procession.

Some great races indeed - Un De Sceaux in the Ryanair was a real treat, not least because he won me a lot of money but the way Walsh basically just let him fly was a sight to behold.

There were great tussles such as Willoughby Court & Neon Wolf in the Neptune and Might Bite fighting back to win by a nose in the RSA. Conversely such disappointments, no bigger than Yanworth for me as i'll caveat Douvan's performance to injury. I think my favourite race though was the Mares and seeing the big three of Limini, Vroum Vroum Mag and the eventual winner Apple's Jade neck and neck on the hill was just incredible.

In monetary terms I was saved by a last minute decision to bung a fiver on Sizing John. Shit week otherwise.
