So if spurs was googled how do you differentiate between basketball and soccer?

What was typed in?

If you'd bothered to even click the link before asking questions, the very first paragraph would have told you this (and saved me precious finger typing time).

"Real Madrid won the Champions League in 2016. Barcelona won La Liga. Bayern Munich and Juventus continued their dominance in Germany and Italy. And yet, none of those teams were among the most-searched soccer teams in the U.S. this year, according to Google trends. But these 10 were."

Did you read the google trends link?

Here is what was trending, all a couple of words typed in. This is january:

So fuck off if from that you can tell whether a google search of spurs was meant to be about football or basketball.

You're either intentionally trying to be thick or you've had a few too many drugs tonight. Read it again - 'most searched for soccer teams', not all trends...

https://www.google.com/trends/topcharts#vm=cat&geo=US&date=201602&cid=sports

In Feb 2016 we were #1 most searched soccer team, in October we were #2 most searched soccer team. Over the course of the year (I assume Jan thru Nov), Fox sports claim we're #1.

I know what it said.

Great if true.

But it is impossible for the journalist or anyone else to differentiate the search. He just wants to write a quick throw away story to pay his rent.

We had it the other year where nbc had us as the favourite team in america. Which was bullshit. They had a questionaire for new supporters who knew nothing about soccer to pick themselves a team. We won. Did that mean we have more supporters in america than man utd? Did it fuck. It was a bit of fun that meant fuck all.

I'd like to formally invite any of you that may be interested to Austin Spurs 5 yr Anniversary Party, which we're holding on Feb 11 (Liverpool match).

- Austin Spurs member and our screen printer, Punk Rock Jeff, will be doing on demand screen printing of old Austin Spurs shirts and his own Spurs designs. It will cost $5 per printing and is BYOS (Bring your own shirt)
- Lone Star specials and/or some rare/special beers from Austin microbreweries
- After the match, Hotspur America will record a podcast at our bar.
- Yid BnB: a few of our members are willing to host out of town guests for the weekend. We can figure out a way to match people up if there’s interest.

If this sounds like your kind of party, head to Facebook to the Austin Spurs supporters page

Am staying in Long Beach CA this weekend in a hotel
Any possibility I can watch Spurs Milwall cup tie live at 7 am local time?
I know it is on TV but hotels never have specialized soccer channels
Pub called Gallaghers thinks there is a full schedule of Premiership games on and has Palace v Spurs scheduled!

Can anyone advise?

I understand the commercial need for touring but I was hoping we'd stay in England this summer and play preseason games ahead of next season.
