fuck it, big disappointment today. Didn't think we should have changed formation for this, stick with winning formula but mighty proud of the players coming back twice. So Poch got it wrong with Son. Don't care what anyone says, when ref lets Chelsea away with everything it influences the game no doubt about it. So disappointing but it was the slow start that didn't help. How did Chelsea score 4? Seriously they didn't play, free kick, poor penalty, and two lucky shots. Fuck just pure luck didn't create a clear shot on goal. No matter what I still proud to be Spurs supporter and hope that the lads can push the Chelski scum til the end of the season. COYS.

Was at the match, I've come away with a weird feeling...played quite well for the main but the 1st two goals werr avoidable with 2 silly slide tackles which is very unlike us, Poch playing firstly Son as a wing back and then Trippier totally threw us off because we had no natural width, was Davies injured?

Too many mistakes, we always looked like we had another mistake tucked up our sleeve. But face it, they can always score goals when they like, something we can't do...yet.

If Man Utd had our players they wouldn't end the season without a trophy. Apple doesn't fall far from the tree and over the last twenty years our tree (although producing the odd nice apple) has been weak and feeble and prone to fall over when we needed it most.

Our team is more than capable of winning things, our manager is more than capable of winning things. Yet we don't, and Man Utd do.
We made 3 poor defensive errors Chelsea made none. It's not coincidence they are the winning club and we aren't.

If looked at starting 11's we are better than Man Utd yet it still feels like if bet on either to win something they'd be the better bet. They have an aura of one thing, we have the other.

That first trophy was/is so important, the team is there, manager is there it's just that last step of winning a game in the business end. Beyond frustrating but hopefully it changes while this sensational team are together.

I'm disappointed but putting in a good performance and not just wilting under the lights softens the blow. In years gone by we'd have mentally folded, I don't think that was the case today. A mix of Chelsea being ultra clinical and a gamble tactically was our outdoing, not mental fortitude or being "Spursy".

I think you are missing my point...we should be upset, take it on the chin and accept that we lost because we weren't good enough and made very basic errors.

To say we are proud, we played well but we were unlucky is losers talk that you wouldn't see from Utd or Barca or Chelsea. Which is why they win many trophies.

Surely watching Spurs in recent years or united teams of yesteryear should have clued you in that success in Sport is in many ways about mentality.

If you don't hate losing you will come up short...no excuses...no "oh but we played well."

We lost because we defended like a bunch of prats at key moments, luck had very little to do with it.

The players and fans need to accept and understand that.

I will be proud when I see Hugo hoisting a trophy aloft.
Context my friend, context.. We fought back to equalise at 2-2..

Do you think, just for a moment, had Alonso and Kante booked earlier, and also Luiz booked for his niggling fouls, that this scum team could have grow in stature and running at us drawing fouls to break our momentum??

Do you not think we could have had more free kicks outside the area because we were rightfully fouled but not given, so Kane could have taken more of those and maybe one could have trickled in?

I will bet a wager on Matic to hit that goal exactly just 5 times out of 10 if no component of luck is involved as you said..

If you think luck has nothing to influence things in life, and blaming that on lackthereof is a sore loser attitude, we might as well play all sports with simulation..

It's too simple to say we accept defeat too easily, especially since we've lost fewer games than anyone. And if you think Spurs bottled this game you're mental.

And it's too easy to say that it doesn't matter that Chelsea have benefitted from financial doping, or that it's a level playing field, because it fucking isn't.

I sincerely believe that if Danny Risecwas at left back instead of Son, the entire game would have been different. So not having the cash to stock-pile top-rate players in every single position will cost us the odd game. Denying that cash counts is nonsense.

It's shit to lose. Really heart-rendingly shite on days like today. But please don't confuse recognising what an incredible achievement it is to go toe to toe with Chelsea and to out-gun every other c***ing team in the country means we accept defeat too easily. Sorry, but that's just your frustration talking. I share the frustration but it doesn't blind me to how good our team is, and how much better it's going to get because of the way it's developing.

If you can't be proud of building the best young team in the country without having to resort to throwing endless pots of dirty money at everything that moves, I feel sorry for you.

If we don't start winning stuff then our best players are going to start wanting out. It will only take one. And if Poch goes it will really get messed up.

Poch dropped the ball big time today. Our best chance of silverware, up against the best team in the league and he plays Son and then Trippier at LWB. Then when he switches to 4 at the back he takes of Wanyama. Fucking mental all round.

As someone said above, if Ben Davies wasn't fit enough to play then he shouldn't have been on the bench. Wimmer should have been drafted in to the back three and Vertonghen should been played at LWB.

The corner that Chelsea scored from came from where Trippier was like a fish out of water at left back and then there was the Son penalty.

Really disappointed today. We are a match for a fully fit Chelsea side. With Conte arrogantly leaving Hazard out we should have made them pay. Son at LWB.....jeez.

Also it's a bit embarrasing to fuck off home early.. what kind of message do the plastics think they are sending to the players when they look up and see our end is half empty? Or maybe swap thay scenario with one where the whole end stays, cheering and fighting on to the death.. which one do you think might have a positive effect on our players? Well done to everyone that stayed

Not allowed to criticise those who leave early, on here mate.

The subs changed the game. Chelsea bring on Hazard, Fabregas and Costa, spurs bring on Nocando and erm.....nobody that can change games.

Nah we will choke if it ever came close

That's just the loss talking. It wasn't 5 hours ago everybody was waxing lyrical about our new found resilience and consistency. You better believe every one of those players wants to ruin Chelsea's party.

The Chelsea penalty was difficult for the ref to not give, so I'm not going to be overly critical of the ref, and Son really should have stayed on his feet.

However, I'm surprised that not one of the BBC pundits criticised Moses for diving over the tackle. He could easily have avoided the challenge and played on. If he wanted the penalty, he should at least run into Son's path and take a knock, not jump over the challenge without contact. Go back 10 years and the media would have been all over it.

Amazing people on here want to critics fans who have spent a fortune, probably made long trips to see there team play. The manager and players should get the directed anger, not our fans for leaving early

Just got back from the game have to say fucked off again with yet another semi-final choking just don't know when we are ever going to finally step up and win won.
Thought first fifteen minutes we looked nervous with needless free kick and ridiculous penalty later on, we dominated possession but lacked the clinical edge.
If we want to be part of the elite we have to find a way of winning big games which we still struggle to do.
Looks like 2nd place in the league is the best we can hope for now although it's still progress but today's game has left me a bit flat again.

Poch was very calm in his presser. I hope the players take this as a one off and keep trying to chase down Chelsea, because that is how we can ensure second spot.
